WOMAN DIES, SON ARRESTED IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HOMICIDE

On Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 7:26p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of an assault at a home in the 1300 block of Northeast 68th Avenue. When officers arrived, they located the victim with serious, life-threatening injuries. She was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
The suspect, the victim’s son, remained on scene and cooperated with officers. The Portland Police Special Victims Unit responded to the scene to lead the investigation, assisted by the Homicide Unit.
Austin K. Green-Yurick, 32, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree-Domestic Violence, Assault in the Second Degree-Domestic Violence, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Domestic Violence.
On Saturday, June 24, 2023, Detectives were notified that she died of her injuries at the hospital. Green-Yurick is expected to face amended charges. The victim will be identified once family members have had time to make notifications.
