GRESHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING DEATH; IDENTIFY VICTIM

Gresham, Ore.—At approximately 3:57 a.m., Gresham Police officers responded to reports of gunshots and a person down in the parking lot near the entrance of an apartment complex in the 200 block of SE 188th Ave. Officers arrived and located the victim who was later declared deceased. The East County Major Crimes Team (MCT) was activated to investigate the death as a homicide.
The victim has been identified as James Edward Wilson, 61, of Gresham. Investigators are pursuing leads and are asking anyone with information to call the Gresham Police Tip Line at 503-618-2719.
