CAPTURE #59 for CENA
On May 29, 2025 at approximately 4:10 PM Deputy Francis stopped a green Chevy pick up for a traffic violation on Coos Head RD near Cape Argo Highway.
The vehicle had severall occupants inside. One of the passenger’s exited the vehicle and left on foot. This passenger went into a heavily wooded area. The driver provided the passenger’s name, who was found to have several warrants for his arrest.
Sgt Slater and K9 Cena responded to the scene from the Bunker Hill area. Deputy Baker, Officer Parrish of the Coquille Tribal Police and Officer Fleming of Confederated Tribal Police assisted with the perimeter.
Sergeant Slater and K9 Cena arrived a few minutes later and began a criminal apprehension track into thick brush and standing timber. K9 Cena, Sergeant Slater and Deputy Francis were able to locate the suspect approximately a quarter mile from where he fled into the brush. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Coos County jail.
