Motorcyclist arrested for DUII after crash into vehicle

At 12:28 a.m. on January 11, Eugene Police responded to a crash at Kincaid Street and E. 13th Avenue after a motorcycle rear-ended a sedan waiting to turn at a signal. When officers arrived, they found the involved Honda VT7 motorcycle lying sideways at the back bumper of a Kia K4. When officers contacted the motorcycle rider, 34-year-old Blake David Morgan, they suspected impairment. 

After an investigation Morgan was arrested and transported to a local hospital to be medically cleared prior to being transported to Lane County Jail and lodged on charges including DUII (Felony) and Reckless Driving. 

The Kia’s 16-year-old male driver and 24-year-old passenger were not injured.
