FATAL CRASH- INTERSTATE 84 - HOOD RIVER COUNTY

Oregon State Police Hood River County, Ore. 05 Jan. 2024 - On Friday, January 5, 2024, at 8:59 p.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash just off westbound Interstate 84 exit 62, in Hood River County.   The preliminary investigation indicated a Chevrolet Colorado, operated by Miranda Kaylyn Archer (36) of Goldendale (WA), was traveling westbound on Interstate 84 when it took the Exit 62 off-ramp. The Chevrolet left the roadway on the exit ramp, went over the guardrail, and down an embankment. The vehicle came to rest on its roof in the parking lot of the Columbia River Villas.   The operator (Archer) was declared deceased at the scene.   A male juvenile (13) was transported by Life Flight to an area hospital.   The highway was not impacted during the on-scene investigation. A Search and Rescue team assigned to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has joined PPB in the search for Mary Page. Drones and K9s are also involved in the operation that is expected to last several more hours. TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEIZURE OF 100 LBS. OF CRYSTAL METH

Oregon State Police DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. 8 Dec. 2023  – An Oregon State Police (OSP) traffic stop in Douglas County led to the seizure of 100 pounds of methamphetamine.     On Jan. 4, 2024, at approximately 12:15 p.m., an OSP K-9 team stopped a vehicle on Interstate 5 northbound in Douglas County for a traffic violation. A K-9 was deployed to sniff the outside of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal drugs.    A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a total of 100 pounds of crystal meth located in two large bags in the vehicle’s trunk.    The stop resulted in the arrest of two suspects including the vehicle operator Edgar Rene Revolorio (28) of San Bernadino, CA, and passenger Surely Nalley Molina Escalante (35) also of San Bernadino, CA.    The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available for release at this time.                 Click Here To Download ...

PPB NEEDS PUBLIC'S HELP LOCATING MISSING ENDANGERED WOMAN

Portland Police Bureau The Portland Police Bureau needs the public’s help locating a missing endangered woman. Between 11:30 p.m. on Sunday January 7, 2024, and 4:30 a.m. on Monday January 8, 2024, 70-year-old Mary Page walked away from her home near Southwest Ruby Terrace and Southwest 4th Avenue. Detectives are concerned because Page suffers from Alzheimer’s. While she is capable of providing one word answers to questions, it is unclear if Page can provide her name and it is likely that she does not know how to get home. Additionally, Page does not have money, a wallet, or a phone. Page is a Caucasian female, 5’4” tall, and 130 lbs. She was last seen wearing a striped purple shirt and black pants. TRAILER FIRE IN LEBANON OREGON

Lebanon Fire District At approximately 1318 hours on Sunday January 7 th , 2024 Lebanon Fire District responded to a structure fire in the 30000 block of Old Santiam Highway.  When initial units arrived, they found an unoccupied fully involved camping trailer. Crews spent about 20 minutes to get the fire under control and stayed on scene for another hour for overhaul and investigation of the fire.  The Lebanon Fire District responded with 23 personnel on 14 apparatus.  The Lebanon Fire District would like to remind residents to follow safe home-heating instructions. Prineville Man Arrested For Trafficking Substantial Quantities of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

Central Oregon Drug Enforcement (CODE) A Prineville resident is now facing charges related to the trafficking of controlled substances after the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team executed a roadside search warrant in Deschutes County. On January 6, 2024, around 9:00 AM, the Central Oregon Drug Enforcement Team concluded a long-term investigation and surveillance operation with the apprehension of Travis Ingram, a 35-year-old individual from Prineville, Oregon. Travis Ingram was identified by drug agents as a trafficker of fentanyl and methamphetamine in central Oregon. The initial investigation suggests that Mr. Ingram has been importing significant quantities of fentanyl pills and methamphetamine from the Yamhill County area into central Oregon, where he distributes them in the Redmond and Prineville regions. GRESHAM POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL SHOOTING

Gresham Police Dept Officers responded a shooting near E Burnside St. and SE 188th Ave. early this morning.  They found one person who had been shot.  The person was transported to a local hospital but died of their injuries.  Detectives GPD and the Major Crimes Team were assigned to investigate.  They learned the person who had been shot was involved in multiple physical disturbances prior to the shooting.  The person who fired the shot contacted police and has been interviewed.   No arrests have been made at this time.   We believe there are additional witnesses who had contact with the deceased prior to the shooting.  The deceased is not being identified at this time, pending notification of their next of kin. TWO WASHINGTON STATE MEN CAUGHT SELLING 80 POUNDS OF METHAMPHETAMINE FACE FEDERAL CHARGES

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon PORTLAND, Ore.—Two suspected drug traffickers from Vancouver, Washington are facing federal charges today after they were caught selling nearly 80 pounds of methamphetamine in a single negotiated transaction. Luis Arnulfo Urioste Bracamontes, 26, and Rafael Avina Torres, 37, have been charged by criminal complaint with conspiring to possess with intent to distribute and possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to court documents, in December 2023, special agents from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) obtained information that Urioste, through his Portland area drug trafficking organization, was involved in and capable of selling large quantities of methamphetamine throughout the region. INVESTIGATION LEADS TO LARGE SCALE DRUG SEIZURE

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On 01/04/2024 an ongoing investigation involving Lane County Sheriff’s deputies led them to contact the occupants of a Chrysler 300 sedan in the parking lot of the West Lane Center near Hwy 126. and Territorial Hwy. in Veneta yesterday afternoon.   All three of the vehicle’s occupants were detained under suspicion of drug trafficking.  24-year-old Ronald Antonio Aguilar-Espinoza and 19-year-old Edil Mario Zuniga-Navarro were both discovered to have warrants out of Multnomah County for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  The third occupant was identified as 55-year-old Josef Dylan Burns. During the course of the investigation investigators located and seized nearly 1 pound of suspected fentanyl powder, several hundred suspected pressed fentanyl pills, and about 3 ounces of suspected heroin.  A related search warrant also led to the seizure of two firearms. Hayley R. Steele Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter II With Respect To The Baby Owen Case

Coos County Sheriff's Office On January 5 th , 2024, Hayley R. Steele (28) appeared in Circuit Court in Coquille to accept a plea of Guilty to Manslaughter II in the Baby Owen case.  District Attorney Paul Frasier offered the plea to Mrs. Steele and her attorney after consulting the victim’s family, who supported the offer.  This has been an exhaustive and emotional case, and all involved are to be commended on their efforts to bring this case to resolution, including the Owen family, Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Major Crimes Team (Multi-Agency Team of investigators), and the Coos County District Attorney’s Office. We hope this resolution will allow Joseph, Amanda, and their family the opportunity to begin the healing process, although we know this process will never be fully complete.  Mrs. Steele will remain in jail without bail pending sentencing on January 22 nd , 2024.  Click Here To Download Our App

District Attorney's Office A months-long investigation by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office’s (MCDA) Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF), dubbed “Operation MistleTow,” resulted in the arrest today of Joseph Allen Beard, 53, a suspect alleged to have stolen multiple vehicles through an illegal tow truck operation in order to sell the cars for scrap metal. Beard is facing multiple charges including Trafficking in Stolen Vehicles, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Forgery, and Identity Theft. An investigation led by the MCDA ATTF investigator, in collaboration with the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) East Precinct Stolen Vehicle Operation, East Neighborhood Response Team (NRT), and North NRT, revealed that a representative of Maters Auto Recycling sold about 80 vehicles to Rivergate Scrap Metal between late August and early November 2023. WANTED SUBJECT TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AFTER FLEEING TRAFFIC STOP

Sheriff's Office On 01/05/2024 shortly after 1:00am, a Lane County Sheriff’s deputy patrolling the area of River Rd. and Santa Clara Ave. observed a silver SUV being driven by 37-year-old Michael Jack Boggs.  Boggs had warrants for his arrest for Failure to Appear on a Burglary charge and Driving While Suspended.  He was also being sought for questioning by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office regarding a recent restraining order violation investigation. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and made contact with Boggs in a parking lot in the 2500blk of River Rd.  As the deputy was waiting for backup to arrive, Boggs ran from the vehicle and fled over a fence into a nearby neighborhood.   Deputies and officers from the Eugene Police Department flooded the area.  Boggs was found moments later in the 200blk of Division Ave. and taken into custody without further incident. FATAL CRASH -- HWY 101 -- CURRY COUNTY

Oregon State Police On Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Oregon State Police responded to a three-vehicle crash on Hwy. 101, near milepost 291, in Curry County.  The preliminary investigation indicated a Toyota Corolla, operated by Josiah James Selvy (19) of Port Orford, was traveling northbound on Hwy. 101 when it crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a Chevy 2500 pulling a 26-foot trailer.  The driver of the Chevy, Leslie Lewis Martin (80) of Clearlake (WA), swerved to avoid the Toyota, however, was stopped by the guardrail. The Toyota was pushed back into the southbound lane where it stopped.  Selvy, the operator of the Toyota, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Martin, the operator of the Chevy, and a passenger were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Oregon State Police On Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at approximately 5:27 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a multiple-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 5, near milepost 35, in Jackson County.  The preliminary investigation indicated that the Chevrolet Suburban, operated by Helen Marie Cain (64) of Central Point, crashed into the center wire barrier for unknown reasons. The initial crash led to multiple subsequent crashes within the same scene. A total of nine vehicles from the crash scene were damaged. The operator of a Toyota Tercel, Douglas James Flood (81) of Gold Hill, was pronounced deceased following transport to a local hospital. Flood was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.  The operator of the Chevrolet Suburban (Cain) and Courtney Marie Clark (38) of Grants Pass, the driver of a Ford Focus involved in the crash, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
