ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On 11/20/21 just before 11:00am, Lane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of Marcola Rd. and Hayden Bridge Rd. after receiving the report of an armed robbery that just occurred at the Hayden Bridge Landing.  Deputies learned that a male and female had just robbed a person with a handgun and left the location in two different vehicles.  One of the suspects pointed the gun at the victim’s head and struck him with it during the robbery.  A deputy located both suspect vehicles together in Eugene at about 12:16pm near the Dollar General store on River Rd.  Both robbery suspects were present and taken into custody without incident.  The suspects were identified as 23 year old Cruz Sanchez and 19 year old Priscilla Luna.  Sanchez faces charges including Robbery in the 1 st  Degree, Menacing, Assault in the 2 nd  Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Theft in the 2 nd  Degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 3 rd  Degree.  Lu

OSP SWR DRUG ENFORCEMENT SECTION TEAM SEIZED AN EPIC AMOUNT OF ILLEGAL MARIJUANA DURING SEARCH WARRANT- JACKSON COUNTY

Oregon State Police On November 18, 2021, the Oregon State Police Southwest Region (SWR) Drug Enforcement Section (DES) team served a search warrant in the 1300 block of Antelope Rd. White City, Oregon. The location consisted of 5 industrial-sized warehouses zoned for commercial use.  Over 100 individuals were initially detained, identified, interviewed, and released. Several of the individuals were migrant workers living on-site in subpar living conditions without running water.  During the operation, which spanned over two days, an epic amount of illegal, processed marijuana and a firearm were seized.  The DES Team’s conservative estimation on the amount of processed marijuana seized was approximately 500,000 lbs., which depending on where it would be exported to, has a conservative street value of somewhere around $500 million.  This is a very involved investigation and will be ongoing for several weeks. MCSO DECLARES RIOT FRIDAY NIGHT AT JUSTICE CENTER

Sheriff's Office Around 8:45 p.m., Friday, November 19, demonstrators attending a protest in Downtown Portland focused their attention on one of the vehicle roll-up gates at the Justice Center on SW 2 nd  Avenue. At the time, a couple dozen people gathered in front of the gate. Some individuals in the crowd were heard saying “burn it down," referring to the Justice Center. Individuals were observed tampering with the gate prior to its opening. An estimated 10 to 20 protesters entered and began moving down the ramp in the direction of the jail entrance and the building’s critical infrastructure. Individuals also placed large tree branches to prevent the gate from closing. Deputies met the trespassers on the ramp to prevent entry and began instructing them to exit. SUSPECTS IN ATTEMPTED MURDER OF POLICE OFFICERS SOUGHT

Portland Police Bureau The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) is seeking the public’s help in locating two suspects involved in the attempted murder of two Portland Police officers on November 13, 2021. The suspect who shot at police officers is being identified as Christian Daniel Fitz-Henry, 27. PPB Homicide Detectives, with the assistance of the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office obtained an arrest warrant for Fitz-Henry for the crime of Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Fitz-Henry also has an Oregon State Parole Board warrant for his arrest for Robbery in the Second Degree. Fitz-Henry is a white male, 5’09”, 160 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes, and distinct facial tattoos. OSP RESPONDS TO CRASH ON HIGHWAY 6 NEAR BANKS INVOLVING SCHOOL BUS- WASHINGTON COUNTY

Oregon State Police On November 19, 2021, at approximately 9:29 A.M., Oregon State Police responded to the report of a collision between a trailer being pulled by a Ford F550 and a school bus on Highway 6 near milepost 35, west of Banks. Preliminary investigation revealed that a red 1999 Ford F550 truck pulling an unloaded flatbed trailer, operated by Frank Rich (64) of OTIS, was traveling westbound on Hwy 6 near milepost 35 when the trailer began to fishtail uncontrollably and detached from the coupling. After separating from the truck, the trailer collided with the driver side rear axle of the school bus. The school bus was from the Nestucca School District and was eastbound on Hwy 6 on a school field trip to Portland. The school bus was operated by Steven Parks (51) of  Cloverdale. Man arrested for Public Indecency Incident on Bus

Eugene Police Department This afternoon, November 17, Eugene Police arrested Hobson Mathew Mason, age 41, after identifying him as a suspect in an incident on an LTD bus that occurred on November 5, around 3 p.m. A man was reported to have boarded the bus and while there in the presence of juveniles, touched himself inappropriately in front of a juvenile female while staring at her. A Eugene Police Patrol officer began working diligently to identify the suspect and together with LTD security identified him as Mason.  Mason is a registered sex offender and has not recently registered. He also had previously been trespassed from the bus. The officer alerted the department’s other officers that he was seeking Mason. Grants Pass Police Department Grants Pass, Ore. - On 11-15-2021, Rogue Area Drug Enforcement detectives were investigating a narcotics crime at Motel 6. While conducting follow-up, the detectives became aware of another crime involving prostitution at the hotel. During the follow-up investigation, it was determined Devon Driver, a 32-year-old white male, had paid cash in an exchange for sexual intercourse with an adult female while at Motel 6. The adult female cooperated with the investigation and provided evidence of the illegal encounter. Driver was taken into custody and lodged at the Josephine County Jail for Prostitution and Commercial Sexual Solicitation, both class A Misdemeanors.

Joint Task Force Serves Search Warrant in Medford After Child Porn Uploaded From Local Apartment Complex

Jackson County Sheriff's Office JCSO Case #21-2978 MEDFORD, Ore. – The Southern Oregon Child Exploitation Team (SOCET) joint inter-agency task force served a search warrant Wednesday morning at an apartment complex on the 1600 block of Coker Butte Road in Medford. Investigators discovered numerous images of child pornography were uploaded from a residence in the apartment complex. Investigators are interviewing possible witnesses and involved parties, and investigations are ongoing. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) tips started the investigation, which led to subpoenas, followed by the search warrant at the apartment. Digital devices were seized, and will be forensically examined by the Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force (SOHTCTF) for evidence of child exploitation. Female suspect who brandished knife at business, entered passing vehicle, arrested

Eugene Police Department On November 17, at 12:33 p.m., Eugene Police responded to W. 7th and Polk regarding an armed subject. A nearby business reported the female suspect had brandished a knife in their business and stabbed a table before leaving.  As officers responded to the area, information was received that the armed woman had attempted to enter a passing vehicle and the passenger tried to pull the door shut. The female, still armed with the knife, got in the vehicle ultimately and was sitting on the passenger.  Two Eugene police officers were nearby and intercepted the vehicle at Polk and W. 6th Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, who didn’t know the woman, quickly exited after the car stopped on Almaden at 6th. Portland Police Bureau A suspect is facing gun charges after a shooting that took place in front of police officers. On Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at 7:53p.m., North Precinct officers patrolling near North Lombard Street and North Mobile Avenue saw a man approach a parked vehicle. Someone in the vehicle jumped out and ran away, and the man pulled out a gun and fired a shot at the person running. The suspect then drove away in the vehicle. The officers requested cover and began following the suspect in the vehicle. The suspect crashed near North Farragut Street and North Curtis Avenue, then ran off on foot. Officers investigated and determined the suspect was in a nearby residence. Officers convinced him to come out and surrender, and he was arrested. Lebanon Police Dept. On 11/15/21, at approximately 1449 hours, the Lebanon Police Department received information that a two year old male child was at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital with a serious physical injury.                 It was reported the child was first transported to Lebanon Community Hospital by his mother’s boyfriend on 11/14/21. The child was taken by air ambulance to Doernbecher later that same day. The boyfriend was identified as Patrick Michael Decker (DOB 07/06/95).                   In the information provided to the Lebanon Police Department, the initial explanation for the child’s injury raised suspicion. Lebanon Police Detectives Unit contacted and interviewed Decker at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Decker admitted to causing the serious injury. ERIK SHANE ZWEYGARTT CONVICTED ON MULTIPLE COUNTS IN CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CASE

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On November 5, 2021, Washington County Circuit Court Judge Erik Buchér found Erik Shane Zweygartt guilty of five counts of using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct and five counts of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse in a bench trial. Deputy District Attorney Jason Weiner prosecuted the case against the defendant.  In October of 2020, the victim’s mother found a cell phone that she did not recognize in the victim’s bedroom. She examined the device and found explicit videos and photos of the victim as well as information linking the device to the defendant. The mother called police who launched an investigation. Detectives were able to confirm the phone belonged to and was provided by the defendant. Marion Co. Sheriff's Office On Sunday, November 14, 2021, at just after 6:00 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a property on Labish Garden Road NE near Highway 99E, just north of Salem. The caller reported four people armed with rifles breaking into a shop on the property. When deputies arrived, the unknown suspects fled from the property in two separate vehicles, a gray Dodge Ram and an unknown make white pickup. Deputies pursued the white pickup on Interstate 5 before terminating the pursuit for safety reasons near Woodburn. While investigating the burglary, deputies learned this was an illegal marijuana operation and discovered a large amount of marijuana in the shop.
