MAN BAILED OUT BY PORTLAND FREEDOM FUND PLEADS GUILTY TO MURDER, RECEIVES LIFE IN PRISON

Multnomah Co. District Attorney's Office Portland, OR-Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Jenna Plank Tuesday (12/30/25) sentenced Mohamed Osman Adan to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25 years. Adan pled guilty to Murder in the Second Degree for the brutal killing of his domestic partner, Racheal Abraham on August 27, 2022.    Adan was also convicted of Felony Strangulation Constituting Domestic Violence, Contempt of Court for Violating a No Contact Order, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Felony Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Police Officer for crimes committed separate from the murder.   Adan made an escalating series of attacks on Racheal in 2022. MULTNOMAH COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE REQUEST FOR HELP FINDING WANTED PERSON

Multnomah Co. District Attorney's Office The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office is asking for the public’s help to locate a defendant with a felony warrant. 29-year-old Angelina Latisha Minor has a felony warrant for Manslaughter in the First Degree in connection with a March 2024 traffic crash where Minor is alleged to have been driving under the influence of intoxicants and killed her 4-year-old son in the crash. Minor violated her supervised release, which has resulted in the court issuing a warrant for her arrest. Minor’s last known address was in North Portland.   Anyone seeing Minor should call 9-1-1.

FATAL CRASH INTERSTATE 84 - UMATILLA COUNTY

Oregon State Police Umatilla County, Ore. (Dec. 30, 2025)-  On Monday, December 22, 2025, at 7:50 a.m., Oregon State Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 84, near milepost 207, in Umatilla County.   The preliminary investigation indicated a pedestrian, Noah J. Lindsey (25) of Pendleton, was attempting to cross the interstate when they were struck by an eastbound Kenworth commercial motor vehicle and trailer, operated by Ben Travis Johnson (55) of Kennewick (WA).   The pedestrian (Lindsey) was declared deceased at the scene.   The operator of the Kenworth (Johnson) was reportedly not injured.   The interstate was impacted for approximately four hours during the on-scene investigation.   OSP was assisted by ODOT.  

DRIVER KILLED IN SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH ON LORANE HIGHWAY

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On December 29th at 8:30 p.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded with fire personnel to a single vehicle crash off Lorane Highway near Sutherlin Lane, south of Eugene.   The vehicle, a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree. The driver was the only occupant and was killed in the crash.   The cause of the crash is under investigation. The driver was identified as James Lee Blondell, 76, of Reedsport.

Fatal Crash Transpacific Parkway, North Bend, OR

Coos County Sheriff's Office  On December 24th, 2025, at around 10:45 pm, Coos County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the area of Transpacific Parkway and Jordan Cove Road in North Bend, to the report of a motor vehicle crash.  Sgt. Boswell located the vehicle, and observed that one passenger, a 19-year-old male, was deceased, and another passenger was injured while trapped inside the vehicle. Fire and Medical personnel were able to successfully rescue the trapped passenger and transport them to the hospital for further treatment.   Deputy MR Smith, along with Troopers from the Oregon State Police, also arrived on scene to assist in the investigation. As a result of the investigation, Deputy MR Smith arrested the driver of the vehicle, Reef Michael Berry (22). Homicide Investigation Update

Hillsboro Police Dept. On 12/27/2025, at about 2:45 PM, officers were dispatched to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at a residence near SE Tualatin Valley Highway and SE 18th Ave. The 911 caller was not on scene but had received information from someone who was. Due to the delay in receiving information through a third party, dispatchers were not informed of the incident as it was actively occurring, and current and complete information was not available from the caller.   Officers arrived and located a 41-year-old male deceased in the driver’s seat of a car in front of the residence. A single gunshot wound was the cause of death. The victim and suspect were known to each other, it was later learned.   Officers were informed by a resident that the suspect was inside the residence, along with others. ARMED FELON FROM EUGENE ARRESTED AFTER CRASH, FLEEING ON RIVER ROAD

  Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On December 29th at 11 p.m., a deputy in the River Road area of Eugene noticed a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer stopped in the middle of Irving Road. As the deputy turned around, the driver, Tyler Gene Dendy, 58, of Eugene, drove away at a high rate of speed. Due to traffic and being in a residential area, the deputy did not pursue.   Deputies monitored the vehicle’s location as it continued to drive recklessly on River Road. Deputies and officers from assisting agencies planned to spike the tires of the vehicle to slow it down. Before deputies were in position, the vehicle went off the road and stuck a concrete curb, flattening both driver’s side tires and slowing the vehicle. Deputies initiated a traffic stop, but Dendy continued driving for several miles before surrendering without incident.   During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a pistol, two daggers, ammunition, and substances that tested positive as methamphetamine and fentanyl. Salem Man Arrested on Drug and Firearm Charges

Marion County Sheriff’s Office On December 29, 2025, around 2 a.m., a Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputy was flagged down in the parking lot of the MAPS Credit Union near Lancaster Drive NE and Winema Place NE in Salem. The male, identified as Logan Ackerman, 19, of Salem, initially reported being assaulted. During the contact, Ackerman produced a glass pipe he said was used for methamphetamine. When deputies attempted a pat-down, Ackerman fled and resisted arrest, yelling that he had a gun. Deputies took Ackerman into custody and located a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun concealed in his jacket pocket. A search incident to arrest also revealed approximately 2.7 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia that tested presumptively positive for methamphetamine. Ackerman was transported to the Marion County Jail and lodged on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, unlawful possession of a firearm, and resisting arrest.

UPDATE - ELDERLY WOMAN MISSING IN THE WARTHEN ROAD AREA WEST OF ELMIRA LOCATED

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office UPDATE: Davis was found late on December 29th in rough terrain past the dead end of a forested road in the area. Her dog, Cami, kept her warm and signaled to Lane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue volunteers as they searched the area. SAR volunteers provided initial medical care for hypothermia, then carried her out to a waiting ambulance for further care at an area hospital. Thanks to area residents and Lane Fire Authority for their assistance on this search, and to Cami for being such a good dog!

EUGENE SPRINGFIELD FIRE SUPPRESSED A HOUSE FIRE IN RURAL SANTA CLARA MONDAY NIGHT

Eugene Springfield Fire Eugene, OR.  Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) responded as automatic aid to a house fire in the 500 block of Delay Dr.  At about 9:15 PM on December 29th callers reported a fire started in the chimney area of the home and was spreading fast.  The home was located in a rural Santa Clara neighborhood NW of Eugene. Ladder 11 from ESF’s Santa Clara station arrived to find heavy fire from a small two story home spreading to a near by structure.  Crews worked to contain the fire and search for any potential victims.  The fire was brought under control with no injuries to residents or firefighters.     Suppression efforts were hampered by narrow roads and no hydrants.  Crews used water from each of the responding engines until a 3,000 gallon water tender could arrive.  At the time of the fire, Lane Fire Authority’s (LFA) on duty crews were committed to other calls and unable to provide resources for the fire. ELDERLY WOMAN MISSING IN THE WARTHEN ROAD AREA WEST OF ELMIRA

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office UPDATE: The missing person has been located alive in the area. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 82-year-old Karen Joyce Davis of Elmira. Davis was reported missing this afternoon after walking away from the 23700 block of Warthen Road.   Davis is described as a white female adult, standing approximately 5’2” tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple puffy coat, white and red flannel shirt, red t-shirt, and dark colored pants. She was accompanied by a blue heeler cattle dog named Cami that is known to stay with her if she falls down.   Lane County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue, deputies, and assisting agencies are actively searching for Davis. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4141.

Southern Oregon Law Enforcement Searching for Wanted Man Following Crime Spree

Sheriff's Office SOUTHERN OREGON — Law enforcement agencies throughout Southern Oregon are searching for a man wanted in connection with multiple stolen vehicles and a high-speed pursuit that occurred today.   The suspect, Billy Dean Gregory, 55, of O’Brien, Ore., is wanted on outstanding warrants and faces multiple charges, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, theft, reckless driving, and attempting to elude police. Gregory is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 198 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen around 1:00 p.m. switching stolen vehicles in the Colver Road area of Talent. At this time, it is unknown what vehicle he may be driving.   The initial incident began just before 10:30 a.m. when Josephine County reported a stolen vehicle eluding law enforcement on Interstate 5. HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION - COOS BAY

Coos Bay Police Department  A person is in custody following a homicide that occurred in a local business parking lot. On December 28, 2025, at approximately 1:55 p.m., the North Coos 911 Center (NC911) received reports of a shooting in the parking lot of Staples, 1995 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. Callers were able to provide dispatch a description and license plate for the suspect vehicle, which was immediately relayed to the responding Coos Bay Police Department (CBPD) officers. With that information, officers responded to the Staples shooting scene and immediately began the search for the suspect vehicle. CBPD officers arrived at the Staples parking lot around 2:00 p.m. and attempted to provide medical aid to the shooting victim, identified as 39-year-old David Orr of Coos Bay. Medical personnel also responded, but Mr. Orr was declared deceased at the scene. Man arrested for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Hit and Run after crash into trees

Eugene Police Department  At 12:17 a.m. on December 25, Eugene Police were called to Dillard Road and Garnett Street after a Toyota Tundra drove off the road, down a steep slope, and crashed into trees. A resident heard the crash and came outside to check on the driver, who he advised to stay on scene. However, the driver fled through residential property from the scene of the crash. When an officer arrived, he found a dog in the Tundra. The dog appeared to be uninjured. Other Eugene Police officers and a Lane County Sherrif’s Office K9 unit began tracking the Tundra’s driver, 36-year-old Benajamin Keith Shackelford. An officer located Shackelford walking near the intersection of East Amazon Drive and Snell Street and took him into custody. He was cited in lieu of custody for DUII, Reckless Driving, and Hit and Run. Case 25-20792

SUSPECT ARRESTED IN KIDNAPPING INVESTIGATION, FIREARM AND EVIDENCE RECOVERED

Salem Police Dept. SALEM, Ore.  — Salem Police detectives arrested a man Sunday in connection with a kidnapping investigation that began earlier in the day in southeast Salem.     The incident began on the morning of December 28, 2025, when officers responded to the 2100 block of Baxter Road SE after an 18-year-old son reported his mother missing. The son stated his mother, a 36-year-old woman, had left the previous night and not returned. He later located her vehicle at a nearby park, where he found torn clothing and shoes belonging to her.     The woman later contacted police and reported she had been kidnapped and held at gunpoint by a person known to her, identified as Luis Pantoja-Guzman, 39, of Salem. During the investigation, officers located vehicles and evidence that corroborated her account.     Salem Patrol officers located him driving eastbound on Kuebler Boulevard and stopped the vehicle. EUGENE MAN ARRESTED FOR BURGLARY ON DEERHORN ROAD

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On December 27th at 6 a.m., Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a burglary at a residence in the 42000 block of Deerhorn Road, west of Leaburg. The caller initially confronted the suspect, Ronnie Verne Rick Vincent, 25, of Eugene, inside his residence at gunpoint. Vincent fled before deputies arrived, however he was quickly located nearby and detained.   After additional investigation, Vincent was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail for Burglary in the 1st Degree and Criminal Trespass in the 1st Degree.

Man Deceased, Another Injured After Shooting In Downtown

Portland Police Bureau  At approximately 11:42 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, officers from the Portland Police Bureau's Central Precinct responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of Southwest Ankeny Street involving two victims. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene. A second adult male sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.  No arrests have been made.  Detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Homicide Unit have responded and are actively investigating the incident.
