Detectives Investigating Suspicious Death ***Update 2***(St. Paul)

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/07/18 Tonight November 7, 2018, at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Marion County Sheriff’s Office in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Washington County Tactical Negotiations Team and Crisis Negotiation Unit executed a search warrant in the 6700 block of Patricia Lane SE in Hillsboro.  The residence is that of Lemarr Carver the husband of Tricia Carver who was found murdered near St. Paul in Marion County. When deputies entered the home of Mr. Carver he was found deceased inside from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound.  Mr. Carver is the primary person of interest in the death of Ms. Carver.  Detectives will be on scene for the next several hours collecting evidence at the Carver home. This is still an active criminal investigation and no additional details are being released at this time.  The Sheriff’s Office does intend to release one final statement regarding the investigation and some of its details but that time frame is not yet kn

Burglary/Assault Suspect Arrested

Beaverton Police Dept.  - 11/07/18  On November 6, 2018, law enforcement officials in Auburn, Washington arrested 20-year-old Robert Wade Jackson in connection with a July 29th burglary/assault of a 10-year-old girl in the 13700 block of SW 6th Street Beaverton, Oregon.  On July 29, 2018 Beaverton Police officers investigated a burglary/assault. Officers learned the suspect gained entry into a first floor bedroom through an open window which had a screen on it. The suspect assaulted a 10-year-old girl who was sleeping in the bedroom. The victim was able to alert family members and the suspect fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. A Leatherman brand (Wave model) multi-tool was recovered which belonged to the suspect. In October 2018, DNA evidence results linked Mr. Jackson to the scene of the crime.  On November 5, 2018 evidence in this case was presented to a Washington County Grand Jury.  The Grand Jury indicted Mr. Jackson on 17 criminal counts to

Sheriff's Office  - 11/07/18  On November 5th, 2018 at approximately  7:00  a.m., deputies and detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called to the area of Vachter Road NE and River Road NE near St. Paul after a body was discovered in a nearby field. On November 6th detectives identified the victim as Tricia Carver, age 47 of Albany.  Ms. Carver was reported missing to the Linn County Sheriff’s Office on November 5th, 2018.  Detectives are investigating Ms. Carver’s death as a homicide.  The attached image of Ms. Carver is believed to have been taken just prior to her death.  The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who may have seen Ms. Carver to please call Detective Myers at  503 540 8096 . Delivery of controlled substances to minors

Bend Police Dept.  - 11/07/18 Within the past two weeks, the City of Bend Police Department received information that Dylan Ricker, a 19-year-old Bend resident, was supplying cocaine and other controlled substances to high school students in the Bend area. Information received revealed that Ricker was conducting these drug deals off school campuses, but sometimes within a 1000 feet of a school. The Bend Police Department Intelligence Led Policing Team (ILP) started working the case as a problem oriented policing project. Members of the ILP Team conducted surveillance on several days, concluding with surveillance on November 6th. During surveillance on November 6th, Ricker was seen stopping at two different schools, one during lunch and one after school. Each time Ricker picked up one student. Officers were able to develop enough information to stop the vehicle driven by Ricker, which was a 2003 Subaru Impreza. Officers also observed several traffic violations to include Failure t

Oregon State Police  - 11/07/18  Investigation shows that dispatch received and was receiving calls of a person standing in the roadway.  Before emergency personnel could arrive the pedestrian, identified as Brian Caine (50) of Bellevue, WA, was struck by multiple vehicles.  All lanes of Interstate 5 are now open.  Drivers should expect delays in the area while the backup is cleared. On November 7, 2018 at approximately 4:30 AM. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Interstate 5 near milepost 274 - southbound lanes. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Investigation is ongoing - expect delays in the area.   

Mail Thief Attempts to Flee Deputies, Crashes During Pursuit

Sheriff's Office  - 11/07/18  On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at 12:43 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a theft in progress at the Clermont Apartments, located at 1835 Northwest 143rd Avenue in the Oak Hills community. A resident of the complex reported that someone had broken into a community mailbox at the location and was leaving in a vehicle. They provided the license plate and described it as a dark blue 2007 Subaru Outback. At 1:02 a.m., deputies located the Subaru travelling eastbound on Highway 26 near the Sylvan exit. When deputies attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver led deputies on a pursuit northbound on Southwest Skyline Boulevard, then eastbound on West Burnside Road. The pursuit ended east of the tunnel on West Burnside Road when the driver failed to negotiate a turn, left the roadway, and crashed on its side into a tree. Sheriff's Office  - 11/07/18 Please reference CCSO Case # 18-030097 Clackamas County Sheriff's Office K9  Grimm  took an accidental dip in a koi-pond while helping  Wilsonville Police  capture a suspect who fled a smoking Pontiac, ran past a crew pouring cement and tried to hide in a boat on Tuesday, Nov. 6. The chase began shortly before noon on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018, when a deputy contracted to Wilsonville PD pulled over a maroon Pontiac sedan on SW Rogue Lane. The Pontiac sported license plates belonging to another vehicle. The deputy contacted the suspect driver,  Vencine Timone Hadley , 45. During the exchange Hadley suddenly sped off. The chase was on. Deputies pursued Hadley as the fugitive Pontiac sped eastward and then south onto SW Salmon Road. The Pontiac hit a bump in the road as it approached the south end of SW Salmon Road. Deputies Arrest Felon with Weapons, Drugs

Sheriff's Office  - 11/06/18  WHITE CITY, Ore. – A wanted White City man is now in jail on drugs and weapons charges.  Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies arrested David Eugene Brennan, 31, during a Monday night traffic stop. On November 5, 2018, at 7:34 p.m., a JCSO deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at on Falcon Street at 24th Street.  The passenger, identified as Brennan, was found to have a warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court on a felony charge.  Brennan was also found to be in possession of a loaded firearm and a restricted weapon (collapsible baton).  Brennan is a convicted felon.   During the stop, deputies deployed K9 Jack around the vehicle.  K9 Jack alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the passenger compartment of the vehicle.  A subsequent search led to the discovery of a usable quantity of methamphetamine.  Deputies lodged Brennan in the Jackson County jail on the warrant and the following char

Fatal Traffic Crash/Tips Sought

Beaverton Police Dept.  - 11/06/18  On October 1, 2018 at 3:28 a.m. Beaverton Police officers responded to the 16000 block of TV Hwy regarding a vehicle/ pedestrian injury traffic crash. The pedestrian was identified as 28-year-old Uriel Santiago-Sarabia and he passed away on scene. The Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team (CART) is assisting with investigations in this incident. Two vehicles were captured on surveillance cameras in the immediate area of the crash and the drivers appear to know each other. CART members would like to identify and speak to the two drivers of the vehicles. The first vehicle was a white Ford F150 pickup truck with “suicide doors”. The truck had supplies in the bed along with an in-bed tool box. The driver was a white male adult wearing dark clothes. The second vehicle was a dark purple Dodge or Plymouth sedan. Salem Police identify woman killed in crash

Salem Police Dept.  - 11/05/18  The woman who was killed in a motor vehicle crash on November 3, 2018 at approximately 9:15 p.m.. has been identified as Alexandria Tereshka, age 27 of Dallas. Based on evidence at the scene and the statements of the involved drivers, police believe that Tereshka was lying in the westbound lanes of Highway 22W near the Wallace Rd NW exit when she was struck by two vehicles. The drivers of those vehicles, Massah Morris, age 20 of Salem and Lori Goree, age 60 of Salem, both stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Neither driver was impaired and no criminal charges are expected to be filed.

Sheriff's Office  - 11/05/18  Update, November 5, 2018: WHITE CITY, Ore. -  On Sunday, November 4, 2018, Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Ricardo Batres-Escobar after a brief standoff at a mobile home park in White City.  At approximately 4 p.m., deputies attempted to contact Batres-Escobar at a residence in the 2700-block of Falcon Street.  Batres-Escobar initially refused to exit the home.  After approximately 45 minutes of negotiations, he came outside on his own.  Deputies arrested him without further incident.  Deputies had been searching for Batres-Escobar since October 11 when he reportedly robbed a White City man while armed with a weapon described as a "cattle prod."  Batres-Escobar was lodged in jail on charges related to the robbery and on a no-bail probation violation warrant. --- Update, October 13, 2018: White City, Ore - Deputies with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office are asking the public to be on

Sheriff's Office  - 11/05/18  This morning at approximately  7:00  a.m., deputies and detectives with the Marion County Sheriff's Office were called to the area of Vachter Road NE and River Road NE near St. Paul after the body of an adult female was discovered in a nearby field. At this point in the investigation Detectives are investigating the case as a suspicious death. Fatal vehicle crash on Hwy 212 - Clackamas County

Oregon State Police  - 11/05/18  On Sunday, November 4, 2018 at approximately 7:55 AM. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle crash on Hwy 212 near Damascus. Investigation revealed that 2018 Chevrolet Suburban, operated by Christopher Meyn (49) from Lake Oswego, was eastbound on Hwy 212 when for unknown reasons crossed into the westbound lanes and into the path of a Peterbilt dump style truck, (loaded with animal feed) operated by Richard Albrecht (59) from Gresham. Meyn sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.  The three male juvenile passengers in the Chevrolet were transported to hospitals for their injuries. Albrecht was treated for minor injuries. OSP was assisted by Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas County Fire, and ODOT.

Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/04/18 UPDATE: November 4, 2018 6 p.m.  On Sunday, November 4th at around 4 p.m. Search and Rescue volunteer searchers located the body of Amber Jayne Eldridge. Her body was located in the search area about 700 feet from her vehicle. Over 50 volunteer searchers had been looking for her over the last two days. The terrain that she was located in was described as steep ground with thick trees and underbrush. At this time her cause of death is still under investigation. Impaired Driver Crashes into Three Cars in Garden Home

Sheriff's Office  - 11/04/18  On Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 2:09 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the report of a multi-vehicle crash in the 6900 block of SW Alden Street in the community of Garden Home. When deputies arrived, they learned that the driver of an SUV lost control of his vehicle and crashed into two cars parked in a driveway. The driver then reversed into another parked vehicle and a tree before coming to a stop. Fortunately, no one was injured. Residents in the area told deputies they suspected the driver was impaired. Deputies conducted an investigation and determined that the driver was impaired by a combination of alcohol and controlled substances. Arson At Historic Thomas McCann House In Bend

Bend Police Dept.  - 11/02/18 On November 2nd 2018, Officers with the Bend Police Department and Bend Fire Department responded to the residence located at 440 NW Congress Street on a reported fire that was started inside the vacant residence. The reporting party was doing remodeling in the house and when he arrived at the house this morning at 10:00 AM it was full of smoke. Upon arrival, officers located several areas inside the residence where fires were started however all the fires were out. Based on evidence at the scene it appears that the fires were started intentionally. Bend Fire Investigators and Bend Police are conducting the arson investigation. Medford Police Dept.  - 11/02/18  Updated Information: The pedestrian struck by a car last night at 9 p.m. was originally unidentified, as she remains in the Intensive Care Unit. She has now been identified as Tonya Kaylee Johnson, 51 years old. Johnson lives at 2300 E. Barnett Road, #50, which is the location of the structure fire this morning. We do not have an update on the condition of the six subjects transported to the hospital during the fire, which affected several apartments. Detectives are working closely with fire investigators, as the case remains under investigation. Oregon State Police  - 11/02/18  On Friday, November 2, 2018 at approximately 8:00 AM. Oregon State Police Troopers and Josephine County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the report of a shooting in Cave Junction. Investigation has revealed that a male drove up to a house on Kenrose Lane and began shooting at the residence.  One of the occupants of the residence shot back at the vehicle.  The male suspect in the vehicle was shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Oregon State Police Major Crimes Team will continue the investigation.   No further information will be released at this time.

Drunk Driver Arrested After Crashing Into Police Motorcycle Officer - No Serious Injuries

Portland Police Bureau  - 11/02/18  On Friday November 2, 2018, at approximately 1:15 a.m., a Traffic Division Motorcycle Officer was performing a traffic stop on a speeding driver on eastbound I-84 near the Northeast Halsey Street overpass. As the speeding driver slowed down and pulled to the right (with the motor officer behind), a second speeding driver in a 2011 Volkswagen Golf struck the motor officer from behind, knocking the officer to the ground and crashing the motorcycle. The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for a precautionary examination by medical personnel. The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and did not require any medical treatment. Investigating officers determined that the driver was impaired by alcohol at the time of the crash. Suspect sought in drive-by shooting

Medford Police Dept.  - 11/01/18  Juan Carlos Rodriguez, 19, is wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred on Saturday, October 27th, 2018. The case was presented to a Grand Jury this week, who indicted Rodriguez. A felony warrant has also been issued for his arrest. Rodriguez is described as Hispanic male, 5'6", 120 lbs, often wearing red clothing. The shooting occurred at noon on Saturday, when the suspect drove by the 900 block of Alta Street, as a passenger in a vehicle. The vehicle drove by a particular residence three times, gesturing to a male. On the third time by, the suspect fired a handgun in the direction of the victim. No one was struck. A shell casing was recovered from the street. The vehicle and suspected driver have been located. The shooting is believed to be gang related, however, neither the intended victim, nor any nearby witnesses are believed to be involved in gang activity. The weapon involved has not been recovered. Oregon State Police  - 11/01/18 On October 11, 2018, John Edward Vezina (66) was last seen at his residence on Lower Wolf Creek Rd. in Josephine County. On October 16, 2018 Vezina was reported as missing to the Josephine County Sheriff's Department .  Vezina is described as 5'10" tall, weighing 180 lbs, with gray hair and brown eyes. On October 27, 2018, Vezina's Toyota Tundra was located in the Glendale area of Douglas County. Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies responded and Douglas County SAR was activated, but they were unable to locate him. On October 31, 2018 the Oregon State Police was requested to assist with investigating the circumstances around Vezina's disappearance. The Oregon State Police is requesting anyone with information regarding Vezina to contact the Oregon State Police Dispatch center at 541-776-6111 or OSP.

Inmates walks away from Marion County Transition Center

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/01/18 On November 1st, 2018 around 6am an inmate from the Marion County Transition Center walked away from the facility.  The inmate is 44 year old Mark Alvarado.  Mr Alcarado is 5'06 tall and weighs approximately 230 lbs.  Mr Alvarado was being held at the Transition Center on a Probation Violation for not reporting to his probation officer. The Marion County Transition Center is a minimum custody facility that houses up to 144 inmates that are transitioning from jail back into the community.  The Transition Center offers programs as well as work opportunities for the inmates that are housed in the facility.  The overall plan for the inmates living in the Transition Center is to get them involved in programs as well as develop a smooth transition back into the community. Public's Help Needed to Locate Missing Endangered Woman

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office  - 11/01/18  On Monday, October 15, 2018, a concerned family member contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office regarding a relative who had not been seen for about a month. Detectives were assigned to investigate and are asking for the public’s help to locate her. The missing person is being identified as 36-year-old Roxanne Slayton. She suffers from medical issues and is not believed to have access to her critical medications. Ms. Slayton is 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 180 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes. Her last known address was at the Riverwood Heights Apartments, located at 12070 Southwest Fischer Road, near King City. She also has ties to King County, Washington. Detectives would like to hear from anyone who has seen or talked to Ms. Slayton in the past month. Stretch Limousine Crash Leads to a Bend Man's DUII Arrest

Sheriff's Office  - 10/31/18  On October 31, 2018 at approximately 8:37PM Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Bear Creek Rd and Ten Barr Ranch Rd. DCSO Deputies arrived to find a black Lincoln stretch limousine Town Car crashed through a horse pasture fence and resting on a mound of rocks. Deputies contacted Christopher Ray Grant (Age 46) and Amanda Mae Gehman (Age 33), both of Bend, Oregon. Grant and Gehman reported they hired the limousine and a chauffeur for the evening. While returning home from the date, the unknown limousine driver crashed and fled before Sheriff Deputies arrived. Neither was injured in the crash. DCSO Deputies were assisted by Bend Police K-9 “Kim” and her handler BPD Officer Uballez. The team checked the area for the missing driver without success. SUCCESSFUL MULTI-AGENCY SEARCH AND RESCUE MISSION

Sheriff's Office October 31st, 2018  DIAMOND LAKE, Ore.  -- On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 8:52 AM, Douglas County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue (SAR) was notified by Klamath County regarding a SPOT Personal Tracker device sending an SOS distress signal. Klamath County had been trying to locate the hiker since Monday evening within their county. New information obtained from the distress signal indicated the hiker was on the Pacific Crest Trail near Tipso Peak located within Douglas County. The parents of the distressed hiker also contacted law enforcement. It was determined that the lost person was 36 year-old Anat Taher Leb, a citizen of Israel. Douglas County SAR formed a team of 4 ground hikers, 2 horse riders with 3 horses from Oregon State Police and a plane from the Civil Air Patrol. Crime Stoppers of Oregon  - 10/31/18  The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to solve a 2013 homicide. On October 31, 2013, at 10:02 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 3800 block of Northeast Shaver Street on the report of a person slumped in a vehicle. Pedestrian struck on Interstate 5 - Jackson County

Oregon State Police  - 10/31/18  On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at approximately 8:25 PM Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a commercial motor vehicle that had struck a pedestrian on Interstate 5 near milepost 34. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2014 Freightliner was traveling southbound on Interstate 5 when it struck a pedestrian.  The operator of the commercial motor vehicle is fully cooperating with the investigation. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Oregon State Police was assisted at the scene by EMS and Fire personnel and ODOT.

Oregon State Police  - 10/31/18  On Saturday, October 27, 2018, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a subject who had been shot in the leg in the Sunny Valley area. Deputies responded to the area and located a male subject who had a minor injury to their leg from an apparent gunshot.  Initial information is the injured subject was riding in the back of a pickup with several other individuals who were hunting in the local mountains. While driving down the mountain, they drove into an area where they were confronted by several individuals who were armed.  At least one round was fired towards the hunter’s vehicle, causing the injury. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Department requested assistance from the Oregon State Police Major Crimes Section and the Oregon State Police SWAT Team. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  CORVALLIS, Ore. – On Saturday, October 27, 2018, Benton County Sheriff’s Office Deputies took a 14-year-old male from Albany into custody on two charges of Attempted Aggravated Murder and Attempted Arson in the First Degree. Two days later, his 13-year-old male accomplice was taken into custody on two counts of Attempted Aggravated Murder, for the substantial steps he took toward aiding his friend in the crime. Neither of the juveniles have criminal histories. The 14-year-old was booked and lodged at the Linn-Benton Detention Center in Linn County on Saturday night. The 13-year-old was interviewed on Monday afternoon, admitted to giving his friend the sleep aid medication to kill his parents, and was subsequently taken into custody lodged at the same detention center. Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  Detectives have identified the body and made an arrest in the case of a woman murdered and then left in a ditch in the Bull Run/Sandy area. Working with the Portland Police Bureau, yesterday (Oct. 29) Sheriff's Office detectives were able to identify the body discovered on the morning of Oct. 28 as  Coral Rodriguez-Lorenzo , 38, of Southeast Portland. She had been listed as a missing person out of Portland. Detectives located and brought in the victim's husband,  Martin Gallo-Gallardo , 45, of southeast Portland, for questioning. During an Oct. 29 interview with a bilingual detective, Martin Gallo-Gallardo confessed to the murder of Coral Rodriguez-Lorenzo, and was arrested and booked into Clackamas County Jail on a charge of Murder. DCSO Deputies Investigate Stolen Mail Recovered From BLM Land Containing Election Ballots and Other Sensitive Mail

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office  - 10/30/18  Bend, OR – Stolen Mail Recovered From BLM Land Contained Election Ballots and Other Sensitive Mail. DCSO Deputies Work With The County Clerk’s Office to Re-Issue Ballots. On October 28th, 2018, a Law Enforcement Ranger with the US Bureau of Land Management located stolen mail from over 70 addresses throughout Deschutes County. Rangers delivered the recovered mail to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and DCSO Deputies assumed the investigation. During unrelated investigations, additional mail was also recovered by DCSO Deputies from other remote locations around the county. While processing the recovered mail for evidence, Deputies discovered the stolen mail contained many election ballots for the upcoming November 6th election. In addition to the ballots, DCSO Deputies located property tax, utility, medical and bank statements in the recovered mail. It does not appear that the ballots are being targeted by the thieves, as all
