Hit and Run Vehicle Versus Pedestrian Crash -- Josephine County

Oregon State Police Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into this morning’s hit and run vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Highway 46 (Caves Highway) near the intersection of Laurel Road in rural Josephine County.  On October 30, 2019 at about 1:49 a.m., OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a vehicle crash on Highway 46 (Caves Highway) near the intersection of Laurel Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 1999 Mercedes C28 was traveling eastbound on Highway 46 (Caves Highway) when it struck a pedestrian in the roadway.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. The unidentified pedestrian was transported by air ambulance to Rogue Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. OSP was assisted at the scene by Illinois Valley Fire. $1,500 REWARD OFFERED TO LOCATE WANTED MAN

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.  - A $1,500 reward is being offered for credible information which directly leads to the arrest of 34 year-old Jason Ryan Taylor.  Taylor is known to law enforcement in both Douglas and Josephine Counties and thus far has avoided apprehension. Taylor travels between the two counties committing crimes and victimizing property owners. Additionally, he currently has active warrants out for his arrest. Both counties have partnered with the United States Marshal's Service to bring Taylor to justice. A $1,500 reward is now being offered in hopes that anyone with information will step forward.  Those who are harboring or assisting Taylor may also face criminal penalties, including arrest.  Taylor is a white male adult described as 5'09'', 150 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes. Ohio man Arrested with large amount of Marijuana -- Klamath County

Oregon State Police On October 23rd at about 3:00 pm, an Oregon State Police (OSP) trooper stopped a 2015 Chevy Pickup on Hwy 140E near milepost 15 for a traffic violation.  During the traffic stop the trooper obtained probable cause to search the vehicle.  During the search the trooper located 632.5 lbs of marijuana and 36.8 lbs of suspected BHO (Butane Honey Oil) extract.  The driver was identified as Dustin R. Schoenhofer, age 41, from Ohio.  Through the investigation investigators learned the marijuana and BHO extract was destined for Ohio.  Schoenhofer was lodged at the Klamath County Jail for Exporting Marijuana, Exporting Extract, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance-Extract, and Distribution of a Controlled Substance-Extract. UPDATE (Suspect in Custody) - Oregon State Police Investigating Assault near Wilderville - Josephine County

Oregon State Police On October 22, 2019 at about 10:00 am, the East Chicago Police Department (Indiana), arrested Kyle HANDING, age 20, on warrants issued by Josephine County Circuit Court.  This is in relation to the incident on September 30, 2019 on Wilderville Lane, near Wilderville. HANDING was lodged at the Lake County, Indiana Jail on the following charges in connection to the assault: Attempted Murder I with a Firearm (2 Counts) Assault 1 with a Firearm (2 Counts) Unlawful use of a Weapon with Firearm (2 Counts) No further information is available for release. Previous Releases: The Oregon State Police is attempting to identify and locate the pictured individual as a possible suspect to a shooting and stabbing that occurred on Monday September 30, 2019, on Wilderville Lane.  According to the victims the individual is approximately 18 years old, goes by the name “KYLE” and has a possible last name of “HARDING” or “HANDING”.  KYLE is described as approximately

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) On Tuesday, October 22nd, officers from the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) worked in conjunction with members of Douglas County Parole & Probation to arrest two individuals in the Roseburg area.   Parole & Probation officers contacted 23 year old Kristin Morse of Roseburg in the 3,000 block of Aviation Drive in Roseburg.  Morse was taken into custody for a Parole Violation.  A short time later, members of DINT and Parole & Probation conducted a search of Morse's residence in the 2300 block of Carolyn Court in Roseburg.  Inside they located 29 year old Travis January, who had an active warrant for his arrest for Unlawful Possession of Heroin out of Clackamas County.   A search of the residence revealed approximately 4 grams of methamphetamine, a small amount of heroin, a firearm, drug packaging materials, scales, an undisclosed amount of cash, and other drug paraphernalia.   January was taken into custody a

OSP TROOPERS MAKE AN ARREST IN A POACHED BUCK CASE IN ASHLAND- ADDITIONAL INFO- JACKSON COUNTY

Oregon State Police On October 16, 2019, an OSP Trooper responded to a complaint of suspicious hunter activity within the city limits of Ashland.  A local resident in the 600 Block of Thornton Way, reported observing a male loading a deer into a pickup while parked on a city street.  The reporting party approached the male to inquire about the deer but the male then drove off.   A license plate and make of pickup was obtained.  The Trooper arrived on scene and contacted multiple neighboring residents.  The Trooper found a short blood trail leading from a bush, which was against a neighboring house, that lead to a row of hedges along the city street.  This evidence along with the reporting party’s observations, showed that the suspected deer may have been shot while bedded down next to a house and loaded into the pickup while parked on the street.  With the help of another Trooper, the suspect was located and interviewed.  Faced with the evidence and resident observations, th

Albany Police On October 23, 2019, at 8:20 a.m., an Albany Police Community Service Officer contacted a stranded motorist on Santiam Road at Denver Street.  The Community Service Officer requested non-emergency assistance from a patrol officer.  A physical altercation ensued between the motorist and two Albany Police personnel with the motorist assaulting the Community Service Officer. An emergency response was initiated for additional patrol officers while the subject continued fighting with Albany Police.  A Taser was deployed during the incident. The subject went limp and became unconscious.  Albany Police personnel immediately began treating the subject and employed CPR and an AED.  Albany Fire Department paramedics responded and continued CPR.  The subject passed away at the scene.       Albany Police secured the scene and notified the Linn County Major Crimes Team.  The incident is being treated as a deadly force incident and the Oregon State Police are leading the multi-

Man Facing Measure 11 Sex Crimes Cuts off His GPS Ankle Monitor

Washington Co. Sheriff's Office On the afternoon of Tuesday, October 22, 2019, Washington County Sheriff’s detectives were notified that Josiah Rosales, 29 of Aloha, cut off his court-ordered ankle monitor. Mr. Rosales was arrested in July of 2019 for the below-listed crimes.  On September 16, 2019, Mr. Rosales posted ten percent of his $1,250,000 bail and was released from the Washington County Jail. Mr. Rosales had several conditions associated with his release, to include wearing a GPS ankle monitor at all times. This afternoon, detectives received notification that Mr. Rosales had cut off the ankle monitor. Detectives, deputies and a canine unit searched for Mr. Rosales but were unable to locate him. Mr. Rosales currently has felony warrant out for his arrest. Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Detectives received information that Kenneth Sinor was having sexual relations with 15 year old females. A subsequent investigation revealed that Sinor did have a sexual relationship with a 15 year old female.  Sinor was arrested on the listed charges and lodged at the Josephine County Jail. It is believed there are additional juvenile females who have had sexual contact with Kenneth "Jay" Sinor. ARRESTED: Kenneth "Jay" Sinor 21 years old.  CHARGES: Rape 3, Sex Abuse 2 (x2), Sex Abuse 3, and Sodomy 3 (x2)

Bend Man Arrest for Delivery LSD to a Minor

Bend Police Dept. On October 11th, 2019 a Bend Police Department School Resource Officer (SRO) received information regarding a Bend-Lapine Schools student providing LSD, a Schedule I Controlled Substance, on campus to another student. Throughout this investigation, the SRO was able to determine an adult male had recently sold the LSD to the Bend-Lapine Schools student.  Using a variety of investigative techniques, Joshua Rivas was identified as the suspect and agreed to sell LSD to a Bend Detective who was posing as a local high-school aged student.  Rivas continued to communicate and agreed to deliver LSD even after knowing the intended buyer was in high school.  The SRO and Bend Detectives contacted Rivas after he arrived in the area of 61545 S Hwy 97 to deliver the LSD.  Rivas was found to be in possession of eight (8) suspected LSD tabs and was armed with a large fixed blade knife.  Rivas was taken into custody and transported to the Bend Police Department until the SRO w
