TIMBER CREW FINDS SKELETAL REMAINS SOUTHEAST OF MOLALLA; HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED; TIPS SOUGHT

  Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office Clackamas County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking tips after locating skeletal human remains in a remote wilderness area southeast of Molalla. The case is being investigated as a homicide. On Friday, Jan. 8, a Weyerhauser crew working in a wilderness area southeast of Molalla stumbled across human remains, including a partial human skull. The remains were found at a work site where the crew was planting trees, in a steep ravine off a private logging road. Scraps of clothing found in the area suggest the remains may have been there for some time. The remains predate the wildfires that swept through that area last September. The work crew notified the Sheriff's Office. WANTED FOR STABBING AT MILLSITE PARK

MYRTLE CREEK POLICE On January 19, 2021 at about 8:13 PM, officers were called to Millsite Park for a call of a male who had been stabbed.  The 40-year-old male was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.   It was discovered during the investigation that two subjects had approached the male and a confrontation ensued.  At some point one of the two subjects stabbed the man twice.  The two then fled the scene on foot.   The Myrtle Creek Police Department, along with assistance from the Oregon State Police and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office have developed a suspect in the case.  Myrtle Creek Police have probable cause to arrest 18-year-old Desmond Matthew Garcia on assault charges in connection with the stabbing.  Garcia was last known to be staying in Myrtle Creek, but may have fled the area.  If you know of Garcia’s whereabouts you are urged to call the Myrtle Creek Police Department at 541-440-4471.  If you see Garc

Small Plane Crashes Near Eagle Point

Jackson County Sheriff's Office On 01/21/21 at 1148 hours, 911 Dispatch received a call from a citizen reporting a small fixed wing aircraft had crashed in a field north of the 900 block of Yankee Creek Rd and east of the 700 block of Meridian Rd, near Eagle Point, Oregon.  The caller reported that the plane was on fire but the fire was not spreading. Two males described as being in their “twenties” had exited the plane on their own and were injured. They were later transported by Mercy Flights ambulance to a hospital. No details on their injuries are known but they are believed to not be life-threatening. The plane was found on its left side and had been destroyed except for part the tail section. Units from Jackson County Fire District 3 responded to the scene. The fire was limited to the aircraft. The aircraft was believed to be on a local flight. SHERIFF'S OFFICE SEEKS PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE LOCATING BURGLARY SUSPECTS AND STOLEN PROPERTY

 Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On January 21, 2021 at 8:30 a.m., the Lane County Sheriff's Office received a report of a burglary and vehicle theft at R and D Propane in Goshen. Investigation indicates that shortly before 7:00 a.m. this morning, a dark colored Ford truck and at least two people arrived at R and D Propane in Goshen. One of the suspects then entered the fenced area of the business and got into a white R and D Propane work truck with a crane attachment. The first suspect left the area in the dark colored Ford truck and the second suspect left the area in the R and D Propane truck with the crane. The stolen R and D Propane truck was located off Howe Lane in Creswell shortly thereafter. 2 ROSEBURG RESIDENTS ARRESTED WITH STOLEN U-HAUL IN EUGENE

  Roseburg Police Dept. On Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 the U-Haul store in Roseburg reported one of their rental vans was stolen.  Surveillence video from U-Haul showed the van was stolen in the early morning of 1/16/2021, just after 0300 hours.  On January 20th the van was entered into the criminal justice system as stolen. On January 18th, 2021 the Roseburg Police Department investigated an incident in which a male and female, driving a U-Haul van, tried to break into an ATM at Oregon Pacific Bank in Roseburg.  They were unsuccessful, but caused damage to the ATM before driving away.  At that time the van had not yet been reported stolen by U-Haul. On January 21st, 2021 the Eugene Police Department located the stolen U-Haul in their jurisdiction.  They surveilled the van until they saw a male and female return to it.  Those two people were arrested without incident, and the Roseburg Police Department was contacted regarding the stolen van being recovered.  Through the following inv
