SWEET HOME RESIDENT ARRESTED ON SEX ABUSE CHARGES

  Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports on April 9, 2021, his detectives arrested Gary Coomer, 48, of Sweet Home, for multiple sexual abuse crimes.  Detectives started this investigation in August 2020 when an 8-year-old female child and a 4-year-old female child disclosed they were sexually abused by Coomer.  Both children are known by Coomer.  Coomer is lodged at the Linn County jail on two counts of Rape 1, three counts of Sex Abuse I, and one count of Sodomy I.  Anyone with information about this investigation is encouraged to contact Detective Tracy White of the Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 541-917-6652.

Man Arrested for Online Sexual Corruption of a Child

Eugene Police Department On April 9, at 10:24 p.m., Robert William Clifford, age 65, of Coos Bay, agreed to meet with a 15-year-old female, who was actually a Eugene Police Department detective investigating online crimes against children. Clifford arranged to meet the juvenile at a location for sexual intercourse, that would include pizza and alcohol for them to share. When contacted Clifford was cooperative during the arrest and taken to the Lane County Jail on a charge of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child.  Case 21-05401

SHERIFF HANLIN ANNOUNCES LINE OF DUTY DEATH OF RETIRED DEPUTY STANLEY "ALLEN" BURDIC

Sheriff's Office DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.  - Sheriff John Hanlin is saddened to announce the line-of-duty death of retired Deputy Stanley "Allen" Burdic from duty-related wounds suffered in 1980.   In October 1976, Allen Burdic was hired by the Canyonville Police Department where he served until July 1979 when he accepted a Deputy Sheriff position with the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.   On August 12, 1980, Deputy Burdic responded to a reported shooting at the Nutshell Tavern in Myrtle Creek. Sometime in the early morning hours of August 13, Deputy Burdic located the suspect at a gravel turnout north of the Myrtle Creek Bridge near Interstate 5. The suspect opened fire on Deputy Burdic, striking him twice. The suspect then stole the deputy’s patrol car. As the suspect left in the stolen patrol car, he ran over Deputy Burdic’s legs.    Deputy Burdic sustained serious injuries from the gunshot wounds, which prevented his return to his position as a deputy.

OREGON STATE POLICE IS ASKING FOR PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE WITH UNLAWFUL KILLING OF TUNDRA SWANS - HARNEY COUNTY

  Oregon State Police The Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife Division is asking for the public’s help to identify the person(s) responsible for the unlawful taking of two Tundra Swans in Harney County.  On April 1, 2021 a  U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Officer discovered two deceased Tundra Swans off of Embree Bridge Road near Oil Well Road in the East Fork of the Silvies River. The U.S. F&W Officer notified the Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division which are now assisting in the investigation. REDMOND POLICE SEEK PUBLIC ASSIST TO LOCATE MISSING/ENDANGERED PERSON, 63-YEAR-OLD TIMOTHY DAVIS

  Redmond Police Dept. On Wednesday April 7, 2021, Mr. Davis began traveling via bus from Alameda, California, to Cathlamet, Washington.  He was expected to be in Cathlamet, Washington in the morning of Thursday April 8, 2021, which he has failed to arrive at.  On Thursday, April 8, 2021, at approximately 12:23 p.m. Mr. Davis took the CET bus from Redmond, Oregon, to Bend, Oregon.  At 12:53 p.m. he was last seen at the Bend, Oregon, bus depot.  On Friday April 9, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. he used a pay phone at the Amtrack lobby in Portland, Oregon.  Mr. Davis is described as a 5’10”, 165 pound, 63-year-old white male with gray hair and blue eyes.  He was last seen wearing a white cowboy hat, camouflage jacket, black pants, and white shoes.  He is traveling with a black suitcase. MAN SENTENCED TO 204 YEARS FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING TWO YOUNG GIRLS.

  Linn County Sheriff's Office Linn County Sheriff Jim Yon reports Michael Ray Long, 37, from Junction City, was sentenced today after being found guilty in a jury trial on February 5, 2021 of 22 counts of sex abuse-related crimes. He was convicted for sexually abusing two young girls when they were eight and twelve years old.  Long was sentenced to 204 years in jail for the following charges against the two children:  10 counts of Sex Abuse in the First Degree, 3 counts of Sodomy in the First Degree, 3 counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree, 5 counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree, and 1 count of Strangulation. Long was arrested on these crimes in October 2020 after an investigation into reports of inappropriate Facebook conversations with a 12-year-old female.  The investigation revealed the second, younger victim who disclosed she had been sexually abused by Long. Police looking to identify subject involved in Arson incident

Eugene Police Department On March 31, Eugene Springfield Fire responded to the 2200 block of W 7th Avenue for a fire that took place at All Seasons Equipment, and found information to suggest possible criminal activity as the cause. Eugene Police arson detectives responded to investigate the incident and received visual information of a man who was observed at the location before and after the incident.  Police are asking the public for help identifying the subject in the photos. UPDATE NAMES RELEASED - OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING INVESTIGATION - SALEM POLICE DEPARTMENT

  Oregon State Police On Friday, April 2, 2021 at approximately 5:15 P.M., Salem Police Officers and Salem Firefighters responded to the 400 block of Ewald Ave. SE on a report of a suicidal man,  identified as Natzeryt Viertel (22) of Salem , that had injured himself.   Firefighters arrived prior to officers and the man threatened them with a firearm. Officers arrived and the man, still armed, confronted them and  Corporal Clinton Sealey, member of the Salem Police Department for 9 ½ years , fired and hit Viertel.  Despite lifesaving attempts Viertel was pronounced deceased at the scene. No officers or firefighters were injured in the incident.    Per standard protocols for the use of deadly physical force, the Marion County District Attorney’s Office has selected the Oregon State Police to lead the investigation. The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave in accordance with Salem Police Department directives.  Sergeant Steven Galvin (witness/involved did not shoot)

  Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office On Monday 04/05/2021 at approximately 0109 hours, Deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 36000 block of Redwood Highway for a reported shooting incident which took place inside a residence.  Upon arrival, Deputies located a 45-year-old male victim who had been shot.  The victim was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital.  The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this incident and will provide updates if available.

Dean.  Nanci has dementia and was last seen in the area of Verizon on Union Ave. in Grants Pass.  Nanci left in a brown 2015 Mercedes Benz, Oregon plates of 852HZS.  Photos of Nanci are attached, as well as the vehicle she is believed to be operating. MALIK MUHAMMED CHARGED WITH ATTEMPTED MURDER OF POLICE OFFICERS DURING RIOTS

  Multnomah County District Attorney's Office PORTLAND, Ore. – Today, Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced that the grand jury has indicted Malik Muhammed, of Indiana, on allegations that Muhammed attempted to murder two police officers during separate riots in Portland by using explosive devices. UPDATE: AUTHORITIES IDENTIFY BODY FOUND MARCH 26 ON WILLAMETTE RIVER; TIPS, INFO SOUGHT

  Clackamas Co. Sheriff's Office At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office  Marine Unit  deputies responded to a report of a body floating in the Willamette River. The body had been sighted downstream of the Sportcraft Landing Boat Ramp by a passing boater on a fishing-guide expedition. Marine deputies responded to the scene. A deceased male adult was floating face-down in 2-3 feet of water, along the riverbank near 1900 Clackamette Drive in Oregon City. The body was partially clothed and covered in mud and aquatic plant growth. Additional personnel responded to the scene from CCSO,  Oregon City Police  and  Gladstone PD . Working together, authorities photographed the scene, recovered the deceased and placed him in a body bag. A Clackamas County Medical Examiner responded to the scene and examined the remains.   Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office ARRESTED: Tesla Delury, 30 year old female, Bend CHARGES: Criminal Conspiracy (2 counts), Attempted Murder 2, Tampering with Evidence, and Resisting Arrest. During the investigation detectives obtained evidence that showed Tesla Delury and Anthony Reyes conspired with one another in order to get the male victim to the China Hat Rd. area in order to Reyes to assault him. Delury was interviewed by detectives on April 2, 2021. After the interview Delury was advised she was under arrest. Delury resisted arrest, but was ultimately taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail on the above mentioned charges. Arrest Made in Greenway Homicide

  Medford Police During the course of the homicide investigation, detectives developed a person of interest as Richard Hall, 43 years old. Hall was believed to be camping in the area of where the homicide occurred. On March 31st, 2021 at about 1225 hours, detectives located Hall walking on foot on the greenway, north of Railroad Park. Officers attempted to stop him, but he fled on foot. Officers caught him after a short foot pursuit. Hall was initially arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failing to Appear on a Trespassing charge. He was interviewed that day and lodged in jail on the warrant only.  Detectives continued the investigation and developed further evidence on Hall, resulting in criminal charges. The investigators believe Hall was an acquaintance of the victim, Mather, and developed a plan to murder him for reasons not being disclosed. Hall struck Mather in the head with a weapon similar to an axe, killing him. Hall then took the body to an area nearby and buried him with d

The Sutherlin police is investigating a stabbing that occurred in the 300 block of South East Front street in Oakland

On April 2nd at about 1:16 AM Douglas County Dispatch received a call regarding a 47 year old female who had been stabbed by her boyfriend in the 300 block of South East Front Street in Oakland. The boyfriend identified as Elijah Wallace fled the scene in the victims vehicle to Meadows Mobile Home Park located in the 500 block of S State Street in Sutherlin. there he abandoned the vehicle  and fled on foot. A multi agency search of the area was conducted but Wallace was not located. A knife and other evidence were recovered at the scene but it is unknown if the knife found was used in the stabbing. Wallace should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a slim white male adult  with short black hair, hazel eyes, 5'9" tall and approximately 158 lb. The victim was life flighted to a hospital for her injuries, her current condition is unknown.
