Wanted Suspect Arrested Near Shady Cove

Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office SHADY COVE, Ore.  On 02-11-20 members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force found and arrested a wanted suspect in the Shady Cove area. The Task Force members include the US Marshals Service, Central Point PD and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. During this operation, assistance was provided by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the Oregon State Police. The subject of the surveillance and subsequent arrest is Robert Phillip Tallman, dob 01-06-1987. Tallman had a warrant issued from the Oregon State Parole Board and Santiam Correctional Facility for Parole Violation. Additionally, Tallman is a suspect in multiple criminal investigations including Burglary and Eluding and Reckless Driving in the Shady Cove area. JCSO requested assistance from the Task Force in prioritizing the apprehension of Tallman. RESCUE AT TOKETEE FALLS SUNDAY

Sheriff's Office TOKETEE, Ore.  - On Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 2:30 pm, 911 dispatchers received a report of a 17 year-old male who had fallen 100' from Toketee Falls.  Emergency  crews were dispatched to the area and determined a 17 year-old Redmond, Oregon man had crossed over the safety railing and had fallen approximately 10 feet, then sliding approximately 20 feet before stopping. The male suffered only minor injuries. Rescue crews were able to safely assist him back to the trail where he walked back to the parking lot on his own.  The male was transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance for evaluation.  The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was assisted by Douglas County Search and Rescue, Douglas County Fire District #2, REACH Air Ambulance, Bay Cities Ambulance and Oregon State Police.  The Sheriff's Office urges individuals to stay within the safety railings when hiking into the falls. GLENDALE WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER MENACING CHILD

Sheriff's Office GLENDALE, Ore.  - On Saturday, February 8, 2020, at approximately 11:41 am, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 800-block of Willis Avenue in Glendale for a subject who had barricaded herself in a room with a five-year-old child with a sledge hammer.  Deputies arrived to learn that 34 year-old Glendale resident Naomi Hope Ellis was in her bedroom with the child. The child could be heard screaming for help, so deputies forced their way through a barricaded door into the bedroom.  Ellis was holding the child with one hand and had the hammer above the child's head with the other hand. Ellis failed to comply with deputies’ orders to drop the hammer, at which point they were able to physically overtake her. Ellis continued to fight with deputies at which point a TASER device was deployed. K9 ZORO TRACKS DOWN STOLEN VEHICLE / ELUDE SUSPECT

Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - A Roseburg man is in jail after Douglas County Sheriff's Office K9 Zoro tracked him down following a vehicle pursuit.  On Sunday, February 9, 2020, at 11:55 pm, a deputy observed a tan 1992 Honda Accord commit a traffic violation on Meadow Avenue near Kerr Street. The deputy learned the vehicle had previously been reported stolen to the Springfield Police Department.  The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, at which point the driver failed to stop. The driver began driving south in the northbound lanes of travel. The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns. As the suspect drove in the wrong direction, he nearly struck a responding deputy. Shortly thereafter, the suspect hit a van and the suspect driver crashed between mileposts 124 and 123 and fled from the vehicle on foot.  K9 Zoro tracked the suspect and located him along the riverbank. Body of missing woman found

Umatilla Flood Joint Information Center  Pendleton – The woman previously reported missing from the Bar M Ranch area near Pendleton has been found deceased.  Janet Tobkin Conley, 62, was reported missing on February 8 by neighbors, following the flood event. Neighbors reported having last contacted Conley on the evening of February 6th as flood waters were rising in the area.  At that point, Conley stated that she wished to stay in her home.    Volunteers from the Umatilla County Search and Rescue, as well as resources from the Oregon Air National Guard began searching the area for Conley on Saturday.  Conley was located on Sunday morning, on the Bar M Ranch property by searchers and neighbors from the area. Suspect Crashes Into Parked Car, Threatens Witnesses With Gun

Portland Police Bureau A suspect is in custody and a gun is in evidence after a crash investigation in the Lents neighborhood. On Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 2:06a.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a call of suspicious circumstances in the 9200 block of Southeast Foster Road. As they responded, the officers received a call from an off duty officer who was in the area and could see a suspect with a gun threatening people. Responding officers learned that the suspect was running away up a pedestrian path nearby. They challenged the suspect at Southeast 96th Avenue and Southeast Harold Street. The subject was not cooperative and began walking away from officers. A K9 was deployed and held the suspect until he could be arrested. Officers recovered a gun nearby (photo). Officers began an investigation and learned that a vehicle crashed into an unoccupied vehicle in a parking lot, partially landing on the hood of that car (photos). METH/HEROIN ARREST

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) DINT has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the suspected drug related activities at a residence in the Soft Winds Mobile Home Park at 401 North Comstock Road in Sutherlin.  Based on that investigation, detectives recently developed probable cause for the arrest of 31 year old Georgina Watson, of Sutherlin, for suspected drug crimes to include possession and delivery of methamphetamine.   On Thursday, February 6th, 2020, DINT, with assistance from the Sutherlin Police Department, executed a search warrant at the residence.  Detectives located a substantial quantity of methamphetamine as well as a small amount of heroin and numerous other drug related items. The mobile home park is immediately adjacent to Sutherlin's West Intermediate School.  Per the Oregon Revised Statutes, there is an additional crime for drug sales that occur within 1,000 feet of a school.  In this case, the residence in question is less than 500 f

If you need fingerprints completed for employment, schooling, or any other reason, you can call and make an appointment to have them taken at the Roseburg Public Safety Center. Times each week are limited, and you must call in advance to make an appointment. Fees for the service are $25 for the first card and $5 for each additional card. DCSO Seeks Information on Missing Bend Area Man

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a missing Bend area man.  Glenn  F. Jordan of Bend has been reporting missing after not showing up for an appointment in Bend on Monday.  Additionally, Mr. Jordan’s phone is off and he has not contacted friend(s) as he normally does on a daily basis.  DCSO detectives have confirmed Jordan was last seen at Home Depot in Bend at noon on Sunday, February 2, 2020. (Attached photo is from video surveillance obtained by detectives   from Home Depot) Jordan is described as a 58-year-old white male, 5’6” tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds.  He was last seen wearing black pants, black shirt and a brown jacket.  Jordan is reported to homeless and frequents businesses at the north end of Bend.  Today, detectives located his campsite and it does not appear he has been there recently. Coos Bay Man Sentenced to Federal Prison for Distributing Methamphetamine and Possessing Sawed-Off Shotguns

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon EUGENE, Ore.—Theron Gilbert Geber, 36, a resident of Coos Bay, Oregon, was sentenced to five years in federal prison followed by a four-year term of supervised release for distributing methamphetamine and unlawfully possessing sawed-off shotguns. According to court documents, in March 2019, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) learned that Gerber, who had prior state felony convictions, was selling firearms and methamphetamine in the Coos Bay area. On April 4, 2019, an undercover ATF agent met with Gerber for a firearms purchase. Upon entering Gerber’s home, the agent saw drug paraphernalia and approximately 20 to 25 firearms displayed for sale. During the meeting, Gerber stated, “everything’s for sale for the right price.” Gerber then sold the agent a short-barreled shotgun, a Glock pistol, three magazines, three drum magazines, and 91 rounds of ammunition—all for $600. ROSEBURG MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGES

Roseburg Police Dept. On January 30th, 2020, a 32 year old Roseburg resident, Tristan Stanton, was arrested by Roseburg Police Department Detectives on the following charges. Rape in the First Degree x 2, Sodomy in the First Degree x 2, Unlawful Sexual Penetration, Sex Abuse in the First Degree x 2, and Harassment x 3.  His bail was set at 1.5 million dollars. Detectives began investigating this case when a victim reported it on January 27th, 2020.  During the investigation there were at least three separate victims identified who alleged abuse by Stanton.   All three of these victims are under the age of 14 and are known to Stanton.  The investigation is still ongoing, but Stanton has been lodged at Douglas County Corrections.

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On 01-31-2020, at approximately 6:08pm, Josephine County 911 received a call of a reported shooting in the area of SW 9th and SW H Streets.  Officers responded and determined one male had been shot and was deceased.  Several individuals were detained and have been transported to the Grants Pass Police Department for interviews.   At this time there is no further threat to the public.  Officers and Detectives will be on scene for most of the night processing the scene for evidence.  The Oregon State Police Crime Lab has been requested to assist with the scene.  Josephine County District Attorney Josh Eastman has also responded. The name of the deceased male is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.  The are of SW Pine Street between SW H and SW I Streets will be blocked to traffic for an undetermined amount of time.  Please avoid the area until the roadway has been cleared.  Further updates will follow as new informat

Deputies Investigate Shots Fired Call

Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - On January 30, 2020, at 7:38 pm, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a shooting incident in the parking lot of the Buy 2 Market (4446 Old Highway 99 South). The caller reported someone had shot at his car following an attempted robbery. Multiple law enforcement officers from various agencies responded and conducted a search of the area, but were unable to locate the suspects. Evidence supporting the report was located at the scene.  The suspects are described as caucasian teen aged males. One was wearing a black t-shirt and had dark shaggy hair, another was wearing dark clothing and a third male who was wearing a blue bandanna.  Deputies are still investigating the incident. Drug-Impaired Person Assisted and Taken to Hospital by Redmond Police Following Arrest for Disorderly Conduct

Redmond Police Dept. Redmond, OR – On Tuesday evening, January 28, 2020, Redmond Police received a report of a male who had stripped down to his underwear and was running around inside the Redmond Fred Meyer store and parking lot.  Witnesses said the male was speaking gibberish, making large animated movements with his hands, and scaring a significant number of people.  Officers responded and found the male, Mr. George Ryan Gove, a 37-year-old Crooked River Ranch resident, lying in the roadway on SW Highland Ave and SW 5th Street.  Mr. Gove was lying face down in the street, making strange movements and blocking the flow of traffic.  Mr. Gove was subsequently arrested at the scene and taken to St. Charles Redmond.  In order to safely secure Mr. Gove, officers placed him in the WRAP restraint device.  The WRAP is intended to reduce the mobility of people in custody for their own protection and to aid in transporting the resisting person.  Gove was ultimately released to the ca

JOLANE STUDENT FALSELY REPORTS SCHOOL THREAT

Roseburg Police Dept. On Tuesday, January 28th, 2020, in the afternoon hours, Roseburg Police Department School Resource Officers learned of a potential threat of violence that was targeted at JoLane Middle School in Roseburg.  Officers learned the threat was made over social media, specifically Snapchat.  They immediately started investigating the incident and worked in cooperation with the Roseburg School District.  During the early stages of the investigation it appeared the threat was not credible, but they continued with the investigation. On Wednesday, January 29th Officers learned the original threat was made by a 13 year old JoLane student over his Snapchat account.  The post by the student indicated a "new student" at the school was going to "shoot up" the school on January 29th.  The 13 year old suspect admitted the report was false, and after posting it they tried to delete it, but it had already been sent and copied by other students/people.
