JESUS GONGORA DOMINGUEZ CONVICTED ON MULTIPLE COUNTS IN CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CASE

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On April 15, 2021, a Washington County jury found Jesus Gongora Dominguez, age 20, guilty of six counts of first-degree sodomy. Deputy District Attorney Chris Lewman prosecuted the case before Judge Oscar Garcia. In December of 2019, the victim disclosed to a mandatory reporter that he was sexually abused by the defendant four years prior. Hillsboro police were notified and arranged an interview with the victim and his family. The victim reported that the defendant had sexually abused him multiple times. He told investigators that the defendant would lure him into his bedroom with the promise of candy or video games and would then sexually abuse him. He ordered the victim not to tell anyone about the abuse. Despite years of concealing the abuse, the victim found the courage to come forward and reveal the acts the defendant committed.  The Washington County District Attorney’s Office wishes to commend the victim in this case

MYRTLE CREEK MAN ARRESTED FOR SEX CRIMES

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office MYRTLE CREEK, OR  - A Myrtle Creek man is in custody on sex abuse charges following an investigation. On Monday, April 5, 2021, deputies were dispatched to a juvenile female reporting sex abuse which occurred in Douglas County. Detectives took over the investigation. On April 20, 2021, the suspect, 50 year-old Floyd Donald Jenkins of Myrtle Creek was arrested. He was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on the following charges:  ·         Sex Abuse I ·         Sex Abuse III The juvenile was known to Jenkins.

Person Fatally Struck in Parking Lot

Coos Bay Police Department On 04/20/2021, at 1024 hours, the Coos Bay Police Department dispatch center received a 911 call reporting a vehicle struck a person in the public parking lot on the southeast side of the intersection at Commercial Ave. and N. 3rd St.  Medical personnel and law enforcement were dispatched to the scene.   Officers arrived on scene at approximately 1027 hours.  The victim, 20-year-old Raven English, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.  Witnesses told officers that English had been laying in the parking lot and had been encouraged to move a short time before the incident.  The driver of the vehicle said they had not seen English and drove over her.   The driver, who was traumatized from the incident, was later transported to Bay Area Hospital.    The Coos County Crash Team was notified and representatives from the Oregon State Police, Coquille Police Department, Coos County Distric

Roseburg Police Department From 12:11 AM to 6:11 AM this morning (Monday), Roseburg Fire Department and Roseburg Police Department personnel responded to thirteen intentionally-set garbage can and dumpster fires in the Southeast Roseburg area.  The fires were scattered from the Mosher/Pine St. area to the Over park and down to Riverside Park near the Visitor’s Center, with the last one being set on the Bike Path at the base of Reservoir hill. Although both Fire and Law Enforcement personnel were out in force throughout the early morning hours, the person or persons who lit these fires were not located.  We are asking that anyone with information regarding these fires contact the Roseburg Police Department.

SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR ARSON OF TENTS IN OLD TOWN

Portland Police Bureau A suspect is charged with arson involving fire in a tent encampment in Old Town. On Saturday April 17, 2021 at 11:00a.m., Central Precinct officers were called to a report of a fire in a camp at Northwest 4th Avenue and Northwest Davis Street. When they arrived the fire fully engulfed the encampment and was starting to spread to the adjacent building. Portland Fire & Rescue (PF&R) responded and extinguished the flames, but the tent and its contents were destroyed (photo). The tent was unoccupied at the time. Investigating officers learned the suspect was still nearby and detained her. Portland Police and PF&R Fire Investigators responded to assume the investigation. They booked Alisha M. Ikola, 20, into the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Arson in the Second Degree.

SUBJECT OF OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING IDENTIFIED

Portland Police Bureau The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s office has completed the autopsy of the subject involved in yesterday’s officer involved shooting in Lents Park. He is identified as Robert Douglas Delgado, 46. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photograph for release. The autopsy revealed that Delgado died of a single gunshot wound. The case remains under investigation and further details are not available. Detectives have confirmed that there was a call involving a person at that same intersection earlier in the morning. We can confirm that call did not involve Delgado. The previous call, at 8:16a.m., was a welfare check on a white male with no shirt who was in traffic and trying to hit passing cars with a trash can. Officers arrived and worked with paramedics to get the 32-year-old man into an ambulance and transported to a hospital for treatment of a possible drug overdose. He was uninjured and not charged with a crime.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER AFTER SHOOTING

Sheriff's Office On Friday, April 16, 2021, at 5:50 a.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting near the 4500 block of SW Minter Bridge Road, south of Hillsboro. It was reported to deputies that a man in a blue 2002 Dodge Caravan shot multiple times at a woman who was inside another vehicle. Deputies identified the suspect as 50-year-old Wilfredo Peraza-Domenech. Just after 7 a.m., deputies found the van at a property near Mountain View Lane and Beaver Way in Forest Grove. Deputies saw Mr. Peraza-Domenech run from the van toward the property, which they immediately surrounded so he could not escape. Three schools (Fern Hill Elementary, Neil Armstrong Middle School, and Swallowtail Waldorf Private School) were placed in lockout for a few hours while the Tactical Negotiations Team secured the perimeter of the property. LANE COUNTY SHOOTING

  Lane Co. Sheriff's Office On Friday, April 16, 2021 at about 10:05pm, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received multiple reports of gunshots and a gunshot victim from the 29000 block of Kelso Street in Eugene.  The Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of Oregon State and Eugene Police, responded to the location. A victim was found with gunshot wounds, transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.The victim is a male 56 years old from Eugene.  The suspect fled the scene prior to law enforcement arriving. The suspect is identified as 55 year old Darren Lee Woods.  The shooting is believed to be related to an ongoing feud between the involved.    Woods is a white male, about 5’11” tall and 165 pounds with grey hair and green eyes.  He was last seen driving a white 1998 Dodge 1500 bearing Oregon license plate 125MEA.  The truck has a sticker across the back window with black lettering.  The wheels on the truck were described to be chrome and the truck is lifted a

DEPUTIES INVESTIGATE SHOOTING AT TROUTDALE MOTEL

Multnomah Co. Sheriff's Office On Thursday, April 15, 2021, at approximately 2:46 a.m., Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Motel 6 in Troutdale. When deputies arrived, they located the victim, an adult male, with gunshot wounds. Deputies also found evidence of gunfire. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, also an adult male, left the motel prior to the arrival of deputies. Law enforcement officers from multiple agencies searched the area, but the suspect was not located. At this time, no arrests have been made. During the investigation, detectives learned that prior to the shooting the suspect and victim engaged in an argument. The two men did not know each other. RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURE FIRE - 2941 NE YOUNT AVENUE - 4-15-21

Roseburg Fire Dept. At 7:28 a.m. on April 15, 2021, Roseburg Fire Department personnel responded to a reported residential structure fire at 2941 NE Yount Avenue.   The reporting party notified Douglas County Dispatch of a shop on fire adjacent to their residence.  Dispatch was notified that all residents were out of the structure.  While enroute, firefighters observed a large column of smoke in the vicinity of the reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival on scene, firefighters found a detached garaged engulfed in flames and spreading to the single story residential structure.  Firefighters conducted a primary search to confirm no occupants were inside the structure.  Firefighters made an interior attack to extinguish the fire and completed overhaul.  The residential structure and shop sustained significant structural and water damage.  Two adults and three children were displaced; however, no one was injured in the fire.  The American Red Cross was notified and is assisting t

FATAL VEHICLE CRASH

  Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office WINSTON, Ore. -  On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, shortly before 11:30 pm, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a single vehicle crash in the 5000-block of Willis Creek Road in Winston.  When deputies arrived, they located a 1990's pickup which had been traveling northeast before leaving the roadway and striking a tree in a small ravine. The vehicle became engulfed in flames which also started a small grass fire. Deputies located one occupant inside of the vehicle, who was declared deceased at the scene. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.  The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the death and attempting to positively identify the occupant. Next of kin notification is pending.
