Salem Man Walks Away from Sheriff's Office Transition Center

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office On May 28th, 2020, approximately 11:40 pm, Jose Daniel Martinez-Flores, 26, walked away from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Transition Center.  Martinez-Flores is a Hispanic male, approximately 5’6”, 150 lbs, and has black hair with brown eyes.  He was last known to reside in the Salem area. Martinez-Flores was serving a sentence for a probation revocation related to a prior menacing charge.  Martinez-Flores is currently on parole for Burglary 1.  He was scheduled for release on 2/9/2021. Staffed around the clock, the Transition Center provides an intermediate sanction between Jail and Probation. Unlike the Jail, the Transition Center provides minimum-security supervision. Residents are expected to work, either at their own jobs, or by performing community services. Stabbing Suspect has Been Located

Sheriff's Office Update 5/29/2020  2:07 p.m.: Gregory Cross, a suspect in the fatal stabbing outside of Florence, was just located by an Oregon State Police Trooper.  We appreciate everyone keeping their eyes out for him!  This case is still being actively investigated.  More information will be released as it becomes available. Original News Release sent 5/29/2020 at 10:30 a.m. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance locating the suspect in a stabbing south of Florence that was reported on 5/29/2020 shortly before 1:00 a.m.  The victim was transported to the hospital but did not survive the incident.  Deputies are working to identify next of kin before publicly identifying the victim. Search and Rescue Mission Underway

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore.  - Deputies and Search & Rescue crews are searching for a reported vehicle crash which was relayed via CB radio this morning.  At 9:14 am, the 911 center received a report from an individual who overheard a distress call on CB radio channel 17 from a male who stated he and his wife had been involved in a vehicle crash on Thunder Mountain and were in need of medical help. The caller told dispatchers he was near Tyee when he received the call. There was no further information to assist responders.  Deputies and Search & Rescue Crews are searching Thunder Mountain area southeast of Glide for signs of a vehicle crash and have yet to locate anything. There are no other known locations within Douglas County referred to as Thunder Mountain.  Anyone who overheard the radio traffic or has concerns about missing or overdue individuals is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 541-440-4471. FATAL HELICOPTER CRASH

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office ROSEBURG, Ore.  - Deputies are investigating a fatal aircraft accident which occurred on Thursday afternoon.  Around 2:13 pm, 9-1-1 dispatchers received reports of a small aircraft which crashed near the 2300-block of Glengary Loop Road.  Deputies along with the Winston Police Department, Douglas County Fire District #2 responded and located a downed burning helicopter on private property. It was determined that at least one individual died in the crash.  The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and are working with the Sheriff's Office.  No additional details are available at this time .  

FATAL CRASH HIGHWAY 138E -- DOUGLAS COUNTY

Oregon State Police Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into Wednesday afternoon’s single vehicle fatal crash on Highway 138E near the Tokatee Falls area.  On May27, 2020 at about 3:55 PM, OSP troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 138E near milepost 54.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford F250 pickup, operated by Owen BYERS, age 62, from both Lakeview and Coquille, was eastbound on Highway 138E and for unknown reasons crossed into the westbound lane and off onto the shoulder where it collided with guardrail.  The pickup continued on the westbound shoulder and rolled down a dirt embankment coming to rest on its side.  Byers was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Byers was wearing seatbelt at the time of the crash.  OSP was assisted at the scene by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon Department of Transportation and Kokua Towing. 

METH, HEROIN, WARRANT ARRESTS

Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) In the late evening hours of Wednesday, May 27th, 2020, DINT executed a search warrant on an apartment in the 100 block of SE Gregory Street in Winston.  DINT had generated information indicating drug possession and sales at the residence.  Detectives found only a small amount of both methamphetamine and heroin, but also found a large amount of cash, drug scales, drug packaging materials, and drug paraphernalia.   28 year old Brandi Baker, of Winston, was arrested for several warrants for her arrest.  She had a local warrant for Contempt of Court, A state parole board warrant for Parole Violation, as well as warrants from both Lane County, and Marion County.   Additionally Baker is being charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of Heroin based on items found during the search of her residence. 32 year old Michael Baker-Guererro, of Roseburg, was arrested on several outstanding warrants for his a

Child Pornography Investigation Leads to Arrest of Eagle Crest Man

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office In December of 2019, detectives with the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation after receiving a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) regarding the uploading of images of child pornography from a residence in Deschutes County.     Detectives were able to determine through their investigation the images were uploaded at the residence belonging to Darwin Born in the 1000 block of Golden Pheasant Dr. in Eagle Crest.    In February, 2020 detectives served a search warrant at Born’s residence and seized multiple electronic devices. Born and other occupants of the residence were also interviewed at that time. The electronic devices were later analyzed and numerous photographs of child sex abuse were discovered on a computer belonging to Born.    On May 27, 2020 Born was interviewed again and ultimately lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail for the above mentioned charges.    The Inte

Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash

Josephine Co. Sheriff's Office On Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at approximately 8:13PM, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2600 block of Fish Hatchery Road along with fire and medical personnel.  Upon arrival, the vehicles involved in the crash were found to be a 2002 Mercury Sable and a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta.  After an investigation into the crash it was determined that the Mercury Sable operated by Amanda McFarland left the paved roadway and onto the gravel shoulder.  The vehicle then spun into the opposite lane of travel where the Volkswagen Jetta impacted the passenger side of the Mercury Sable.  Amanda McFarland’s two-year-old son was in the rear passenger seat of the Mercury Sable.  McFarland and her son were both transported to Three Rivers Hospital via ambulance.  At 10:40PM, McFarland’s son was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.  The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta was treated and released from Three Rivers Hospital with no

Vehicle Pulled From Willamette River With Human Remains Inside

Milwaukie Police Dept.   On 5/26/20, around 4:40 p.m.,  Adventures With Purpose  was shooting a YouTube video at the Jefferson Street Boat Ramp in Milwaukie. They were filming a dive team recovering a car from the Willamette River. The car was approximately 400-yards off shore in about 85-feet of water. Once the vehicle was recovered, they discovered human remains in the vehicle and immediately notified police. The Clackamas County Medical Examiner came to the scene and took control of the remains. Any identification of the remains will be made at a later date/time by the Medical Examiner. The vehicle is associated with a Portland Police missing person case from 2008, where the person was listed as missing and suicidal. This is an on-going investigation and no further information is being released at this time. MIPD Case #20-3578

ROSEBURG WOMAN ARRESTED FOR ARSON

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office SUTHERLIN, Ore.  - A Roseburg woman was arrested for arson on Monday and lodged in the Douglas County Jail.  Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 400-block of North Side Road around 12:40pm on May 26, 2020 for a report of a fire. When deputies arrived, a female was observed running from the residence with a lighter in her hand.  Deputies chased her down on foot where a struggle ensued near the burning residence. During the struggle, the female, 37-year-old Diane Elaine Morey, struck a deputy. She was eventually taken into custody and transported to Mercy Medical Center for evaluation before being lodged in the jail.  Morey was lodged on charges of Arson I, Resisting Arrest and Harassment.  The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Oregon State Police Arson Investigators, Sutherlin Police Department and the Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office. INJURY MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON FOREST SERVICE ROAD 23

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office On the morning of May 23, 2020 the Bend Police Department was advised of a possible missing person from an address in the City of Bend.  During their investigation, Bend Police Officers determined the missing, Tavion Linett was last seen with friends in the Millican Valley (east of Bend).  He left them around 10 PM on May 22, 2020 to return home.  In the morning, it was determined Linett had not gone to work and did not appear to have made it home. Bend Police Officers went to the area of Hwy 20 and FS Road 23 (Spencer Wells Road) to begin searching for Linett.  A Deschutes County Search and Rescue Deputy also responded to begin an initial search and investigation.  At approximately 9:30 AM, a family friend located Linett on FS Road 23 just south of Hwy 20.  Bend Police Officers and the Deputy responded to the scene along with Bend Fire and Rescue.  It was determined that Linett left his party along FS Road 23 to head home.  After traveling

Falling Tree Kills Boater at Detroit Lake

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office At approximately 3:40 pm on May 24th, 2020, Marine Patrol deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a boating accident in the Box Canyon area of Detroit Lake.  The caller reported two pontoon style boats were near the shoreline tethered together, when the top of a large tree fell, striking both boats.  The caller said at least one person was severely injured and was taken by boat to Mongold State Park for help. Deputies and emergency personnel arrived at the Mongold boat ramp a short time later where CPR was being administered to the victim.  Life Flight was called to transport the patient.  Tragically, the victim did not survive the accident and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  No other injuries were reported. The victim, a 13-year-old female from Utah, was at the lake with family when the accident occurred.  No additional information about the victim will be released at this time. Fatal RV Fire In Green

Douglas Co. Fire Dist. No.2   At 12:26 p.m. Friday afternoon Douglas County Fire District No.2 and Winston-Dillard Fire District was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Grange Road in the Green district. Both departments arrived on scene at the same time due to their close proximity and found an older motorhome with the front half fully involved with fire. Crews were able to knock down the fire with an initial attack using a single hose line preventing spread to other nearby trailers.  Reporting party was unsure if the owner was home at the time of the fire and after a search by firefighters a victim was located deceased inside the RV. The fire investigation performed by the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s office determined the fire to be accidental. DCFD2 and WDFD responded to this incident with 2 fire engines and 1 command unit with a total of 8 personnel. Crews were assisted by DCSO, Winston PD and the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s Office. Shooting Investigation - Josephine County

Oregon State Police  On Thursday May 21, 2020 at approximately 10:00 A.M., Oregon State Police  and Josephine County Sheriff's Office responded to the 900 block of Caves Highway for report of a deceased male. Responding officers located Devin Tandy (43) deceased from a gunshot. Tandy's vehicle was not at the residence and investigators requested an attempt to locate (ATL) on the vehicle by all law enforcement. California Highway Patrol and Del Norte County Sheriff's office located the vehicle and detained the driver - Deymon Edwards (22). OSP detectives responded to the Del Norte County Sheriff's office and interviewed Edwards. Edwards was lodged in the Del Norte County jail on Murder I, Burglary I, Robbery I, Unlawful Use of a Vehicle and Theft I. This is an ongoing investigation.

Fatal Crash on Hwy 99 - Lane County

Oregon State Police  On Thursday, May 21, 2020 at approximately 2:10 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel  responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 99 near milepost 5, Creswell, OR. Preliminary investigation revealed a Honda Accord, operated by John Farrell (42) of Cottage Grove, was northbound on Hwy 99 when it left the roadway and damaged approximately 100 feet of a wood fence.   Farrell was transported to River Bend Hospital. A passenger in the Honda, Elizabeth Slagley (31) from Cottage Grove, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. OSP was assisted by Lane County Sheriff’s Office and ODOT.

Fatal Traffic Collision

Roseburg Police Dept.   At approximately 1241 hours on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020 the Roseburg Police and Fire Departments responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 138 East at Pomona Drive.  It was reported that a Buick Century facing northbound on Pomona, pulled in front of a Chevrolet El Camino that was driving eastbound on Highway 138.  The El Camino struck the Buick on the driver side, causing the El Camino to spin and the Buick to careen into a nearby embankment by Les Schwab, on the south side of Highway 138 adjacent to Pomona. The driver of the Buick, 76 year old Carol Mohr of Roseburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Next of kin for Mohr have been contacted.  The driver of the El Camino, 86 year old Lowell Fisher of Roseburg, was transported to Mercy Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  There were no other people involved in the collision. Police Seek Help Locating Missing Man

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore. – Gresham Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 80-year-old man with dementia.  Jack Patterson was last seen tonight around 8:00 p.m. near the 18700 block of SE Richey Rd.  He is described as a white male, approximately 5-feet-5-inches tall, 150 pounds, with blue eyes and brown and grey balding hair.   He was last seen wearing a blue long sleeve shirt, baggy blue jeans, and an old pair of dress shoes.  Patterson is driving a white 2004 Buick LaSabre with Oregon license plate CL86433. Anyone who knows of Patterson’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Austin Michael House Enters Guilty Pleas for Sex Crimes Involving Minors

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On May 7, 2020, Austin Michael House pleaded guilty to four counts of attempted using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct and first-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Senior Deputy District Attorney Andy Pulver prosecuted the case before Judge Ted Sims. In October of 2017, the defendant, aged 26 at the time, was caught engaging in sexually explicit conduct online with a 15-year-old girl living outside of Oregon. The victim’s grandmother searched the defendant’s social media accounts and determined he lived in Beaverton, Oregon. She then immediately contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office which launched an investigation into the incident. Detectives obtained search warrants for Mr. House’s home and multiple electronic devices. They found evidence of similar crimes involving three additional minors, all living outside Oregon. Manuel Alfonzo De Leon Say Convicted on Multiple Counts in Child Sex Abuse Case

Washington Co. District Attorney's Office HILLSBORO, Ore.- On May 18, 2020, a Washington County jury found Manuel Alfonzo De Leon Say guilty of two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and four counts of first-degree sexual abuse. Deputy District Attorney Chris Lewman prosecuted the defendant in Judge Janelle Wipper’s courtroom. In August of 2018, a witness observed the defendant sexually abusing the young victim at a business in Hillsboro, Oregon. The witness immediately removed the child from the area and reported the incident to Hillsboro Police. Detectives began to investigate, and the child was interviewed by medical experts at CARES Northwest. The victim described inappropriate touching and conduct by the defendant at both the business and a residence. The Washington County District Attorney’s Office acknowledges the investigative work of Hillsboro Police Detective Megan Townsend on this case. Hillsboro Police Arrest Murder Suspect

Hillsboro Police Dept. This morning, Hillsboro Police Department detectives, assisted by Portland Police Bureau officers, arrested Jason Bennekin, 21, at Union Station on charges of second-degree murder and unlawful use of weapon after his indictment by a Washington County grand jury. The charges stem from the December 11, 2019 shooting death of Kevin Marshall, 21, in the parking lot of Quatama MAX station. Bennekin was lodged in the Washington County Jail. No further information released at this time.

Updated: Body Located in South Umpqua River Identified

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office   ROSEBURG, Ore.  - The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office has positively identified the body found in the South Umpqua River on Saturday, May 9th. Through the use of dental records a forensic odontologist identified the remains as those of Samuel Elijah Davison who went missing at the age of 36 in September of 2019. An autopsy and scene investigation have been conducted and foul play is not suspected at this time.  Investigators are still seeking information and anyone with information regarding Davison’s disappearance is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at  (541) 440-4458 . Fatal Crash on Interstate 5 - Linn County

Oregon State Police  On Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at approximately 1:31 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Interstate 5 northbound near milepost 219. Preliminary investigation revealed a Honda Odyssey, operated by Forrest Davisson (77) of St. Helens, was northbound when it left the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned. Davisson sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. OSP was assisted at the scene by Linn County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and Halsey Fire Department.  

BODY LOCATED ON TILLER TRAIL HIGHWAY, DETECTIVES SEEK INFORMATION

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office MILO, Ore.  - Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a deceased body which was located in the 15000-block of Tiller Trail Highway this morning.  At 6:25 am on Monday, May 18, 2020, 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report that an individual had located a deceased body in the 15000-block of Tiller Trail Highway.  Deputies along with Milo Fire Department responded to the scene.  Detectives and the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office were also dispatched. The incident is currently under investigation and the Major Crimes Team is being activated. The death is being investigated as suspicious.   Anyone with information is asked to contact the Investigations Division at 541-440-4458. Fatal Crash on Hwy 101 - Tillamook County

Oregon State Police  On Sunday, May 17, 2020 at approximately 2:09 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 101 milepost 63,  just north of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. Preliminary investigation revealed that a BMW Z3, operated by Samuel Hacker (36) of Scappoose, was traveling northbound when for unknown reasons veered into the southbound lane where it struck a Ford Explorer, operated by Julie Leonnig (43) of Tillamook. Hacker sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. A passenger in the BMW, Shayna Tacadena (32) of Gresham, was transported by ground ambulance to Adventist Health Tillamook Hospital with serious injuries. Leonnig received minor injuries. Hwy 101 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours following the crash. OSP was assisted by Tillamook County Sheriff's Office, ODOT and, Tillamook County Fire and Medical.

MADGE Bust Nets Meth, Heroin, Cash

Medford Police Dept. On May 12th, 2020, Detectives from the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team served a search warrant at a residence in the 3000 block of Griffin Creek Road. This was after a two month long investigation into drug sales occurring out the home, as well as information the residents were selling drugs throughout the valley. Detectives arrested four subjects at the residence. Jeffery Cole, 26, and Justice Austin, 21, were the targets of the search warrant. Joel Dixon, 54, was determined to be involved in drug possession and sales in the home. The fourth subject, Pedro Villagrana, 44, was arrested on warrants and his involvement remains under investigation. Detectives located over 5 pounds of meth, two ounces of heroin and over $5,000 in cash. Cole and Austin were lodged for Possession, Manufacturing, and Distribution of both Meth and Heroin. Dixon was arrested for Possession, Manufacturing and Distribution of Meth.

Fatal Traffic Crash Investigation

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office   WINCHESTER BAY, Ore.  - A Reedsport man was declared deceased at the scene of a single vehicle crash in Winchester Bay on Thursday afternoon.  9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a single vehicle crash on Salmon Harbor Drive near Lighthouse Rad at 12:39 pm on May 14, 2020. Deputies and emergency responders located the vehicle over the embankment, partially in the surf. The driver, 76 year-old Donald Earl Withrow was declared deceased at the scene.  Deputies determined Withrow's vehicle, a 2011 Kia Sport, left the roadway for an unknown reason and rolled once before coming to rest.  The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the death. Next of kin has been notified.  The Sheriff's Office was assisted by Reedsport Police Department, Reedsport Fire Department, Winchester Bay Fire Department and the United States Coast Guard - Umpqua Station. Fatal Crash on Hwy 101 - Coos County

Oregon State Police  On Thursday, May 14, 2020 at approximately 6:18 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 near milepost 252. Preliminary investigation revealed that a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), operated by Donald Games (53) of Coos Bay,  was traveling southbound when it failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and struck a tree.  After the crash the CMV caught fire and Millington Fire Department and Green Acres Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames. Games sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. OSP was assisted by Millington Fire Department, Green Acres Fire Department, Bay Cities Ambulance, and ODOT.

Fatal Crash Hwy 20 - Lincoln County

Oregon State Police  On Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at approximately 3:12 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 20 at Elk City Road. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Freightliner Utility truck, operated by Patrick Goddard (23) of Eugene, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 20 when it left the roadway, went through a guardrail, and landed up-side-down in a nearby waterway. Goddard sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.  The passenger, Jason Landry (42) of Eugene, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis. OSP was assisted by ODOT, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Toledo Police Department, and Toledo Fire Department.

Multiple agencies pursue wanted murder suspect, ends in arrest

Multnomah Co. Sheriff's Office On Thursday, May 14, at approximately 10:23 a.m., the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Oregon State Police that troopers were pursuing a person of interest linked to a homicide investigation in Adams County, Washington. The suspect was driving westbound on I-84 toward Multnomah County at a high rate of speed. It was reported the suspect fired multiple shots at troopers while traveling on the freeway. During the pursuit, the suspect stopped several times and exchanged gunfire with troopers. Near Rooster Rock State Park, the suspect reportedly carjacked a vehicle from a bystander. At approximately milepost 18, eight miles west of Rooster Rock State Park, officers stopped the vehicle using pursuit intervention tactics. After the vehicle came to rest in a field, the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect has been identified as Grayson Morris, 26. SMHS Physical Education Teacher Arrested for Sex Crimes

Medford Police Dept. On Saturday, April 25, 2020 the Medford Police Department received an anonymous report by the organization "Safe Oregon." The anonymous report indicated that Noah Berman, a Physical Education teacher at South Medford High School, was involved in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a juvenile female student who attends South Medford High. This tip was sent to both law enforcement and the School District. On April 27th, the school district placed Berman on administrative leave. A Medford Police Detective was assigned the investigation and determined the relationship between Berman and the underage student had been ongoing since November of 2019, which ultimately became sexual in nature. Detectives also learned that much of the communication between Berman and the student occurred through the social media app “Snapchat.” The “Tampering with a Witness” charge stems from the detectives learning the suspect told the victim not to disclose the

Douglas Co. Sheriff's Office   ROSEBURG, Ore.  - An unidentified deceased male was found in the South Umpqua River near Templin Beach on Saturday, May 9, 2020. Dispatchers were notified regarding the body on Saturday, May 9, 2020, at approximately 5:00 pm. The caller reported he located the body while fishing. Deputies from the Sheriff's Office Marine Division responded along with the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office. The remains are that of an adult male, and are pending positive identification from the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. No further details will be released at this time.

Oregon State Police Releases Photos and Video from April 10, 2020 Officer-Involved-Shooting and Praise the Heroic Efforts of all Involved - Klamath County

Oregon State Police  On Friday April 10, 2020 at approximately 4:15 PM deputies from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1700 block of Fargo Street.  The initial report indicated that an intoxicated male was trying to take his children. When deputies arrived, the involved male was no longer on the scene. Klamath 911 announced an attempt to locate for the vehicle with description, details that the suspect was possibly intoxicated, that there was a 6-year old child in the vehicle, and that the suspect had an AK47 rifle. A short time later an Oregon State Police trooper observed the vehicle and a pursuit began near Biehn Street and Crater Lake Parkway, then traveling north on Hwy 97.  Units from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon State Police were involved as the vehicle attempted to elude. Husband of La Pine Daycare Owner Arrested for Sex Abuse I

Deschutes Co. Sheriff's Office   On April 21, 2020 the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a sex crime that had taken place at a La Pine area daycare. The allegation involved a female juvenile under the age 14 attending the daycare and the husband of the daycare owner.  Detectives were notified and began an investigation into the allegations. The Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division was also notified of the investigation and assisted with a safety plan. The daycare was identified as Auntie J’s Little Feet Child Care, which is run out of a private residence in La Pine and the male suspect was identified as Roger Holloman. During the three week investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest Holloman for one count of Sex Abuse I. On May 12, 2020, Holloman was taken into custody and lodged in the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Jail. Pursuit/Stolen Vehicle Suspect Arrest

Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety On May 11, 2020, Officers attempted to stop a tan Toyota pickup on NE D Street near NE Beacon Drive. The pickup, known to be driven by Justin Sager, was believed to be involved in the theft of motorcycles and other property in the northeast area of Grants Pass. The vehicle turned north on Beacon Drive and fled at a high rate of speed, running stop signs and going into oncoming lanes of travel. The primary officers terminated the pursuit in the interest of safety to the community. Other officers were able to locate the vehicle as it turned into a dead street on Lynda Lane off of NE Hillcrest Ave, and crashed into a parked car. The driver fled on foot into a vacant field. Several officers from multiple agencies established a perimeter of the area to keep the suspect from continuing to flee. Gresham Police Seek Help Locating Missing 13-year-old Girl

Gresham Police Dept Gresham, Ore.—Gresham Police is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old girl who left the area of SW 33rd st./SW Emerald ave. in the early morning hours of May 10. Around 4:30 am, Phoenyx Cannon left her house on foot, possibly headed south towards SW Butler rd.. Phoenyx is described as a white female, 5-feet-7-inches tall and approximately 270 pounds with dark brown shoulder-length hair and was last seen wearing a red and white hooded sweatshirt, dark gray sweatpants, and flip-flops. She did not have a cell phone or money with her, does not normally use public transportation, and she does not take any life-sustaining medications, but is on the autism spectrum at a high-functioning level. Anyone who sees Phoenyx, or knows where she is, is asked to call 503-823-3333 or 911 in case of emergency.

Fatal Crash Hwy 97 - Sherman County

Oregon State Police  On Thursday, May 7, 2020 at approximately 7:10 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a motor vehicle collision on Hwy 97 near milepost 48. Preliminary Investigation revealed that a northbound Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) loaded with potatoes, operated by Amador Ramirez (25) of Hermiston, lost control, crossed into the southbound lane, and rolled onto the driver's side. The CMV collided with a southbound Chevrolet pickup operated by Ryan Spyker (45) of Terrebonne. Spyker sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Ramirez sustained minor injuries. Hwy 97 was closed for approximately 5 hours following the crash.  OSP was assisted by Sherman County Sheriff's Office, Moro Fire & Rescue and ODOT.

Domestic Violence Suspect Located Hiding in Attic

Redmond Police Dept. On Thursday, May 7, 2020 at 7:14pm, officers from the Redmond Police Department were dispatched to a home on the 2800 block of SW Indian Circle in Redmond, Oregon for a report of a domestic disturbance.  The victim reported being assaulted, choked, and threatened to be killed with a knife. Officers responded to the scene and were met by the victim who was able to escape from the residence.  Officers attempted to contact the suspect, 36-year-old Redmond resident Daylen Anderson, without success.  Daylen refused to communicate with officers, messaging a family member that he had left the residence.  With the assistance of Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputy Mangin and his K-9 partner Ares, officers determined that Daylen climbed into the attic.  Officers used a handheld thermal imaging device, pole-camera, and K-9 Ares to positively identify Daylen’s hiding spot.  From there, officers successfully negotiated Daylen’s surrender without further incident. Salem Man Drug Dealer Arrested, Charged in Federal Court

U.S. Attorney's Office - District of Oregon   PORTLAND, Ore.—U.S. Attorney Billy J. Williams announced today that a Salem, Oregon man faces federal drug and firearm charges after large quantities of methamphetamine, eight firearms, and approximately $400,000 in cash were found in his residence and nearby storage locker. Joshua McGuire, 42, has been charged by criminal complaint with conspiring to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. According to court documents, the Salem Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) began investigating McGuire in April 2020 after they learned he was distributing large quantities of methamphetamine throughout the Salem area. On May 7, 2020, SCU investigators applied for and obtained warrants to search McGuire’s home, vehicle, and storage locker. Lane County Sheriff's Office Seeks Public's Assistance Locating Missing Man Chase Robertson

Lane Co. Sheriff's Office The Lane County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance locating missing man Chase Robertson.  Family reported Chase missing on May 2, 2020 when they hadn't heard from him since April 29th.   Deputies responded and searched the areas Chase was known to frequent with no success.  On May 4, 2020, Chase's car was located by the Lane County Sheriff's Office in the area of Quartz Creek Rd. in eastern Lane County.  Lane County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue K9 and ground teams have been searching the area where his vehicle was found. On May 5, 2020 the Oregon Army National Guard assisted in the search with air support but found no indication of the direction Chase went.  Trained searchers are continuing to look for Chase in the heavily wooded area south of Cougar Reservoir but have exhausted all initial leads as to where he could have gone.  Chase Robertson is a 25 year old white male standing 6 feet tall and we
